Thanks for this peek inside Elena's head during 4X10. It's so very much in character with how she doesn't want to hurt anyone, to keep those feelings to herself - as they are just between her and Damon - and she really is sorry for the pain she's caused Stefan, and she's willing to keep shoving things down to spare others' feelings. But then I really like the contrast in the end when she tells Damon - the sense of happiness and freedom she feels at finally saying those words to him.

Thank you for the Elena insight. Everyone is sad for Stefan, but honestly I am more for Elena...being considered a broken toy must be hard.

Very IC and beautifully written.
