various reasons.... i was watching from the start of the route. it seemed that most of the contingents were very haphazard in walking. like all they were doing was waiting for the end of the parade. yet again, our mayor marches but no one can see him because he is surrounded by his hundreds of minions so you can't even see him. official "parade photographers" block eveyone from the sides from even getting a quick photo. tired of all the fringe groups who just join in the parade for whatever cause and they aren't even part of the parade. it just seemed that no one marching was really "proud" to be in the pride parade.
the festival was a bit off as well. though with what seemed to me to be a lot fewer booths, i was able to walk without having to go at a complete snails pace.
it's funny though, many organizations couldn't afford to have booths or stages (such as the API pavillion), yet every dance party this weekend was sold out.
