gonna have to get the dvd so I can hit PAUSE
they went by REALLY fast
it's a chase scene...
and it's not supposed to be yale, so they don't show the library tower. i think the first tower they show-- churchy building early on may not even be yale.. if it is, I didn't know it.

Ooooh, was this entry inspired by Indiana Jones? Here I was thinking it was something "silly" like a graduation anniversary...

You missed a verse.

We all must leave this college home / About the stormy world to roam / But though the mighty ocean’s tide / Should us from dear old Yale divide, / As round the oak the ivy twines / The clinging tendrils of its vines / So are our hearts close bound to Yale / By ties of love that never fail

(verse 2)

This brought you by, "those weird-ass people who write religion papers on BCY"

They actually sang that verse at the Glee Club concert on Saturday night! I would have been so confused if it hadn't been for you talking about it :)

wait-- what? I was in the damn glee club and I've never heard that verse.

in other news...I saw Indy and Harkness Tower, Sterling, the Commons, and Old Campus all make appearances, as do a number of the colleges. The geography is a little odd-- at one point they drive INTO what looks like JE and OUT OF what looks like Trumbull...but it was nice to see old Blue.

Boola boola!

It was sweet- Jeff had the seniors come out in front to sing the words to that verse while everyone else (including us alums) hummed behind them.
