Maeve follows, trying her best to keep up although she can't deny that she tires easily. The small amount of food she had isn't enough to keep her going for very long, and she quickly grows exhausted

They do not stop more than once before midday, and then only to have a quick drink and refill the leather skin Isra carries around with clean water. Surprisingly, the girl does not complain, nor does she stop for more than a few seconds at the time. Isra keeps a careful eye on her out of the corner of her sight.
Several caravans and lone travellers pass them by on the way, and the closer they draw to a town, the more often a house or shack pops up along the roadside. Isra steers them clear of the houses and leads the girl to a clearing nearby where a small river runs out into a pond, and once she finds a spot that satisfies her, she drops her stuff onto the ground.
“We go into town tomorrow,” she says briskly, grumpy from the hunger in her stomach.

“No. But this is closer than I was.” She gathers what she can of branches and thick grass from their surroundings and builds a fire. She eyes the pond after with a thoughtful, displeased look and sighs, and grabs hold of her tunic, dragging it over her head. The other clothes drop a moment later, leaving her in underpants. Much reluctantly she walks over to the pond just where the river runs into it and puts her feet in.
The cold water makes her growl, but she wades out to her waist, lifts her tail above the water and waits, unmoving, her eyes fixed on the water around her. The minutes tick past.
Swift and deadly, her tail pierces the surface, and as it retreats a fish is attached to it, stabbed through the head. She unhooks it, looks up and tosses it at Maeve.
(I saw! I couldn't think of anything to ask you when I did, and then I forgot. I think I'll pass, though. Maybe if I had a personal blog too, but I can't think of anything to name one.)
Maeve shrieks as the fish comes flying towards her, but she manages to catch it. She looks down at it, then up to her captor. "... Is this... for me?" she asks, voice barely above a whisper.
{Fair. I don't think there's much more you could possibly know about me anyway. ♥}
