She was human, at least partly. As a vessel that didn't make a difference, the Gallyfreyan part of her DNA wasn't more than a curiosity for Castiel. The really interesting part was her brain, and how long it would be able to function. Castiel told her what he wanted of her, knowing that she was aware of her situation. Donna Noble said goodbye to her friend and his human version and said yes to the angel. Her timelord watched as Castiel took over the body and tested his new limbs. It was time for Donna to start a new journey.
