yeah i'm about due for an upgrade as well... you staying with Lenovo, or going with another manufacturer.
My Canon has never done me wrong, until of course I busted the display. But it is all the thing you asked about... I never did figure out a good low light/show setting.

Yeah, t-60. They have a dual layer DVD burner that I wish someone in purchasing had sprung for, but I may have to spring for one on my own if it's not too much.
What model is your Canon? My boss's Sony is pretty speedy, but I don't want to have to buy Memory Stick Duo proprietary crap....

I'm waiting for Vista to be installed from the factory to buy a new laptop - also dual core. Hopefully it's not too many weeks away. I just want a fresh install of vista. Also, if you love Woot - check out Tanga.com. They have awesome deals on gadgets, games and fun stuff. They also have a puzzle section to check out. It's my latest addiction.
