Mostly for myself, but public so family can see the list...

I went shopping at Walmart last night to pick up a few of the basics I'll need for the new place, but there are still lots of things that I need.

We got the Cuisinart toaster oven in our wedding registry, and it's one of the most useful things I've ever asked for. We had a functional little Black & Decker before, but I can do dinner for two really easily in the Cuisinart, or lots of other things. I can bake off a deep dish pie crust in that thing!

It's spendy, ($100 as opposed to $40-$50) but worth it, in my opinion - especially if it's a down-the-road purchase.

1. Shop CostCo. If you don't have a card and want to go one weekend, I will be happy to take you. CostCo has good stuff for cheap when it comes to cookware, so I reccomend them ( ... )

1. Definitely. I'd love to go sometime. I'll probably get the absolute basics this weekend, but as time goes on I'm sure I'll end up needing/wanting more.

2. Yep. Added to the list.

3. Also added. Definite necessity.

4. Good idea.

5. That's on my to do list (along with setting up utilities, etc.)

6. I'm going to need to get what I have into the place and then determine how much more space is left. It's a pretty big kitchen, so I might actually be okay spacewise, as long as I keep the mixer, blender, food processor away when not in use. But good idea if I'm totally misremembering the counterspace :)

I have a little cordless power drill- so handy.
I <3 my new crockpot- it's particularly good if you end up cooking for people on different schedules.

*smile* Your turn will come. And in the meanwhile, just consider how much my poor checkbook. Moving can be fun, but wow, so expensive.

I hadn't really considered it. I suppose once the place isn't totally full of boxes :)
