A mediocre Sue. *shrugs* Meh.

This one's really not that bad, just overwhelmingly melodramatic. Were there more than the one chapter, it would probably score a higher GFR.

Hmmm...methinks that "It's a totally new disease!"="Sue-writer is too lazy to actually do research on illnesses!"

Exactly, especially considering the author goes on to focus on whatever heart condition Chihiro has; I think the 'unknown disease' was just there because the writer thought heart disease wasn't deadly enough, so some spooky unknown disease would raise the stakes. That, in turn, would make it seem as though she didn't research heart disease very well.

LOL, for some reason the phrase "breath my last breathe" made me laugh hysterically.

That's one of the rare instances of truly funny bad grammar. How often do you see that happen?

I dunno, "Vash has just witnessed his brother's awakening from being in a comma for a week" is pretty funny. %D

I guess I'm spoiled with the X-files fandom, they do their research. But god damnit. At least yanno....put some effort into it. I mean, what kind of kid gives up? "Oh, I'm dying, what a crushing bore". Oh Angst me. It's like watching Oprah.

x_X;

Seems nobody listens to Beta-readers anymore.

Again, icon love. Geez. anunspiritedsue February 3 2004, 08:44:20 UTC
That's why, out of all the fandoms that exist on-line, the X-Files fandom is the one that continually impresses me; in spite of what badfic there is, it's still one of the best fandoms to be found. The writers are actually responsible and attentive to both their writing and logic, and to critiques.

Sometimes I wish people would at least get beta-readers, much less listen to them.
