Why are so many people thinking that Haku would fall in love with a bitchy, angsty goth? I mean, the only one he fell in love with in the movie was Chihiro, and she didn't seem at all bitchy, angsty, or goth. She was somewhat bratty in the beginning, but that was about it.
And might I mention that the 'element' oriental dragons are supposed to be is water, a.k.a. Haku being a _river_god?

i'd also like to point out that Chihiro definitely wasn't gorgeous, something that a lot of these Mary Sues seem to forget. Haku loved Chihiro because of her merits, not because she was OMFG GORGEOUS. i've known plenty of beautiful girls that i had no interest in because of their personality. and as far as the angst, gawffy girls, i've dated a few, but it ALWAYS gets old.

Actually, the first time I saw "Spirited Away," I was making dirty comments about Haku's writhing dragon form and how interesting Haku/Chihiro love would be... and then I learned that Haku's seiyuu is fourteen or so and cried for poor little Irino Miyu.
