In search of a home, away from home

I am now in a huge shopping mall of a city, where people do not believe in laughing much. Yes, I am not kidding you. I have been here four days and I have not seen a single person on the road smiling. That has to be odd, right? I mean you have bags full of goodies from Prada and Gucci in your hands, did that purchase not make you happy at all

Don't the S'pore women look like they stepped out of Vogue or something? I think that was the first thing I noticed about them. Even in the subway and the malls they'd walk around in awesome designer clothes with high heels and perfect hair and perfect make-up and perfect nails...making me and my friends feel positively frumpy!

Oh yes, they all are walking models of Vogue! Their high heels, designer handbags and very fancy clothes, I am in awe.

Hehe, yeah, I don't seem to recall a single female clad in anything that extends beyond the knee. And with those kind of legs, can't blame them! ;)

Oh boy, you can head to Kinokuniya almost every day! :D

I heard announcements of missing husbands in Kinokuniya and I totally understand how you could get lost multiple times. :)

Heh! When we were in school, we used to call *those* kind of legs on Asian women 'Daikon' (A Jap radish).

Heh. Well, the word is thin and not slim, I concur, but they do manage to dress up adequately and look fab. :)

I have seen people smiling widely in Egypt. That is the only friendly destination Ive ever been to.

I think it is us Indians who smile a lot. Often I find people (mostly westerners) looking at me with half a smile, and I check my own. I have a smiling face, just like you and the rest of our fellows.
