Well, I didn't - and this morning since it was my day off I went round the side of the house where Ernie and I'd made a sort of coldframe out of the old attic window that fell in after that big storm and amazingly didn't break and a few old bricks

Uh, you probably don't remember me, though I remember you all right who wouldn't!. My name is Chester, and I'm one of Professor Lupin's students at Hogwarts. He told me that you were looking to give away some kittens. He knows that I don't have a familiar and would really like one, especially a cat. Do you still have any left? Would you consider giving one to a student? I promise I'd take really good care of him...or her.

If so, I remember you, and if Professor Lupin told you about my kittens then that's good enough for me, because I know he wouldn't tell just anyone, only people who would look after a kitty, see? I still have four and they're not near old enough to take away from their mam yet but when they are, you can have first pick! What I might do if it's all right with Professor McGonagall is bring them in to school, on a weekend of course so it won't cause too much of a fuss, and you can have a look at them then and choose one to stay with you, is that all right, Chester?
