Wow, those are some SCARY statistics. It's hard to believe the medical profession has not yet joined the 21st century. It would seem like a big, but reasonably straightforward, task to switch over to a national computerized system that doctors everywhere can access. That way you can call up a new patient's medical history, bam, no problem, and easily pull up all the patients taking a recalled drug, or whatever. It seems like a REALLY important step to take, and soon.
