Isabel was excited about the possibility of moving. The house was full to bursting, and eight kinds of tension bubbled through the air. She couldn't identify most of it, but wherever it came from, the place had gotten more and more uncomfortable over the last week. Michael had been stalling about moving into Ben's other house--she figured he didn't want to be a mooch. When Ben mentioned the friend in need of employees, it seemed like the perfect solution. No working for random people who needed full names and Social Security Numbers, and a little apartment to go along with it.
Yes, she was excited. And intrigued a moment after she and Michael entered the shop. This place looked...different. She looked around for the owner.
Michael followed Isabel into the shop. He was instantly curious about all the odd-looking items, but figured with the little bit that he'd been told, he'd better not touch until he had a better idea of what was what.
Yeah, like that was going to stop him. He stepped over to the nearest shelf, and began to browse. Several very old-looking items. A few bottles, some items that looked a lot like unidentifiable parts of unknown critters.
Michael was going to break something. She just knew he would. Break something and bring Armageddon, knowing him. But she doesn't say anything, instead turns to the blonde woman smiling helpfully at her.
"We're looking for Anya...?" What else is there to say? We're the aliens is maybe a little forward. "Ben sent us."

Sweet. This was going to be entertaining.

"Can I help you?" she asked cheerfully, with a bright smile. Just in case. They could be customers, after all.
