It's been a busy day, which was nice. Michael had gone to New York, muttering something about a girl, so she and Isabel had handled things. Business was winding down now, though and she fiddled with the books after telling Isabel she could go do whatever it was the girl did

Ray sits in his car on the street for a long time before he finally reaches for the handle and gets out. He had dropped Fraser off at the hospital to visit that woman who was bitten and Diefenbaker was sitting in the backseat of the GTO, whining at Ray. Fraser thought Ray needed the wolf more than he did.

"You're not comin' in," he says firmly, then shuts the door. "Behave."

He takes another long pause when he reaches the door, then goes inside, closing the door behind him.

Anya looks up, smiling brightly when she sees it's him.

"Hi! You got here safe."

She bounces up and hurries over to hug him.

"Hey." He hugs her back, running a hand over her hair. Hugging her makes him feel even more sick and his stomach clenches.

"How was the trip?" He looks funny. She can't tell why though, so she sort of covertly studies him.
