New roof!

We are having our roof replaced. When we bought the house, we are now pretty sure that the home inspector was in cahoots with the seller/realtor and that he glossed way over things that should have been red flags (ie. the roof, etc.) Being city mice we had/have no idea about these things, but over the last couple of years it has become apparent

ours didn't catch some obvious stuff...like mildew and a back porch/stair area that was not up to code...like not even sorta up to code.

And their "mandatory" inspections aren't even actionable...grrrrrr.

A metal roof is the bomb. I so miss the sound of rain on our metal roof. (I can't see the picture though.)

I can't see the picture either, but am seriously considering putting a metal roof on my rental house. They are usually cheaper, I think, and they do really well in this climate.
