That's amazing. Don't you think it's nature's way of controlling the environment. If we, as humans, destroy our world by over-pollution and Greenhouse effect, nature creates critters that thrive in the heat and can kill us. It's all quite cyclic - humans grow, destroy our world, we start to die nature gets better, humans thrive again.
Of course, if we'd learn toleave peacefully with our world, then brain-eating ameobas wouldn't thrive.
I read this one and it scared the crap outta me! When we were down in Galveston in August, I was worried about getting into the water - about a month before they reported a case of that flesh-eating virus/disease. Someday, it's not going to be safe to breathe the air, well...not that it's all that safe now!
