I worked with a friend who played the radio all the time at her desk. I called her station "Steve Miller Band radio" Seems like all they played was "Jet Airliner" "Swingtown" "Take the Money & Run!"
Seems like peeps would get tired of any one-band stations! I guess that's the beauty of XM.
Yeah, I guess time will tell - if the feedback is good, it will stay, if people write and say "Ok, enough is enough" it will go.
A couple years ago during the holidays "The System" (the techno channel) was replaced by the Christmas music channel. I wondered why they picked System for the replacement -- I think the overlap between techno listeners and Christmas music afficionados would be fairly low. But, that only lasted a month and then The System came back.
I remember a time in my life when AC/DC was the end all/be all of rock 'n roll for me. They have 16 albums (with #17 on the way), so you're good for like a month to six weeks before overkill sets in on you.
Actually no, it has been nice so far. This morning I got bored with the other music, so I put it on. First I caught the end of Back in Black, next was a song I didn't know, then Thunderstruck (my favorite!) and then another I didn't know.
The thing about the AC/DC songs that I do know... I never seem to get sick of them. I suppose this will be put to the test :) Ask me in a month!
