This is one of the fics that's been lingering on my hard drive for a while. I wasn't planning on writing a sequel. In my mind, there's no doubt that the technique works.
But now you have me thinking. I think the sequel would have to be from Xander's point of view -- very gradually noticing (or having it pointed out to him by others, since I love oblivious!Xander) what Giles is doing and trying to figure out what it all means.
Hmmm, should it start with Xander wondering why Giles is cooking so many Tex-Mex dishes all of a sudden, or noticing that Giles is smiling a lot more than he used to?
This is bad. Very, very bad. I don't need ideas of new things to write, I need to finish some of my umpteen unfinished fics. :-)
