On the subject of lumpy boobs. I've been through the situation several times now. Someone (me, Rob, doctor) finds a lump in one of my boobs. They decide to "aspirate" it, which means they stick a needle in and pull back the plunger on the syringe to see if it's full of liquid or not. If so, they call it a cyst, and I don't know what they do about that, because mine have never turned out to be cysts. When it turns out to be a solid mass, the send you for a mammogram. I don't know what they do with the mammogram results that tells them if you're ok or not because they always send me on to the next step, which is to have an ultrasound of the offending lump. (I'm half convinced that the mammogram is just so they can charge the insurance company more

thanks for weighing in, I really appreciate it. I made an appointment with a doctor for 2 weeks from now-- I'm hoping this is sufficiently prompt for me to consider myself diligent in the matter.
