I've been feeling generally cruddy for a few days now and saw one of my doctors this morning. I have strep throat. My husband had it about two weeks ago (three?) so this is not a huge surprise. Today was a day, like any other day. My test went well. I didn't do everything perfectly (in retrospect, I'm pretty sure I didn't do EVERYTHING.) but one thing that I have struggled with and struggled with, I nailed. I feel good.

Tomorrow is a day. Like any other day. My black belt test is tomorrow. I'm a little nervous, but not bad. Really, I feel quite calm and focused. I know what I have to do.

Mischa went to the V-E-T today to have her teeth cleaned. Dan and I got up, got dressed, I put her out and snuck downstairs to bag her breakfast. Dan comes into the kitchen as I'm grabbing my vitamins and laughs 'cause puppy has a sack lunch. Bag o' kibbles with her name written in sharpie. He drops her (and her sack lunch) at the vet's at 7:30. ( Read more... )

Despite having two shelves devoted to action figures of Kick-Butt Women, I didn't have any Wonder Woman figures. Five Black Cat figures, two Aayla Secura figures, Trinity and Niobe from the Matrix, I could go on. No Wonder Woman. It isn't because I don't like Wonder Woman.
