I think that sounds like an excellent plan. Can you get in touch with the people who designed the Lewis Building (the environmental science, I think that was its name...) Also, I think there's a physics professor who's really into enviro architecture. I don't remember who it was, but if you asked Jennifer at the Sci Library, she could definitely tell you. She has all the good prof gossip. ;)
i was thinking that i should track down the AJLC designers. Scofield, the physics prof, is an option & i did have class w/ him but he's such an ass. someone recommended i talk to David Orr since he's supposedly really great at helping students out...
maybe that's what i'll do this weekend. poke at the internet until it yields all of its secrets.
I've heard great things about David Orr. He apparently gave a talk at my grandparent's church, and they really found him interesting. That's a pretty good recommendation, actually.
It actually sounds like it'd be a good fit for you. You might have to go back to school for a while though, and I know you were happy to be done... Still, I can totally see you in a hard-hat yelling at construction workers. Mwahahahahahaha.
it was true, i was happy to be done. but i also recognized that i needed a temporary break from all of the school related bs rather than a permanent one. i also finally learned to juggle academics & life last semester so the idea of returning to school, at least for something i'm interested in, isn't so bad.
& yes, that is a consideration. how long is it going to take me to get all the extra degrees & how much is it going to cost me? i figure it's worth doing the research before i decide it's too much of a committment for me.
Sunday. I'm researching routes, and hotels right now. So far I think I've found a route that doesnt' make me totally scratch my head, and a hotel that is within my price range. I've been trying to find personal reviews of it, but at least I havn't found any that say "this place stinks and has bugs." I'm not sure no-rever = good review, but for under $50 it might be worth it to try it out.
