Yesterday was my first day teaching in Brooklyn in about 3 years. The last time I taught there my car was broken into one of the first times I drove, so I ended up taking the train most of the time (which is true devotion to mass transit, or to my car's windows, as it takes 3 times as long). I've been wondering a lot about the quality of all the new buildings going up all over the place. This article in Habitat makes me feel pretty relieved that that my building was build in 1939.

So another trip came and went, and I am back at my desk wondering where that blissed out "I'm on vacation" feeling disappeared to. Maybe it's the rain, or maybe it really is that I am once again, as mentioned above, sitting at my desk...
