“Yutti,” Chinen said, making the said boy looked at him with a curious look. “I’ve got something to tell you.”
“What is it?”
“You’re really handsome.” This made Yuto frowned in confusion but just replied with whatever that came into his mind.
“You’re handsome too.”
“And you’re also really kind.”
“You are kind too.”
“But you’re awesome.” Yuto could hear the slight exasperation in Chinen’s tone.
“You are awesome too.”
And that went on until Yuya came in to the room with a can of drink in his hand. “What are they doing?”
“Chinen just keeps praising Yuto and Yuto being dense, just replied with whatever Chinen said.” Daiki looked at the two in amusement while stealing the drink from Yuya, ignoring the protest from the older boy.
“Gosh Yuto! I know I’m cute and superb okay!” Chinen stood up and dashed out of the room, feeling strangely agitated at Yuto’s denseness. He wondered if Ryutaro’s ‘KY’ actually got to Yuto secretly without him knowing.
Yuto sighed as he wondered what he did to make Chinen angry. He would’ve laughed at how Chinen praised himself if only he got what Chinen was trying to do by praising him in the first place. “I wonder how dense Yuto can get if he can’t see that Chinen was trying to express his love.” Daiki shook his head and passed the empty can back to Yuya, ignoring his words of protest again.

Clapping his hands together, Chinen showed Yuya his puppy eyes and pouty lips, knowing that he could never resist those. “I get it. It’ll be fine if I just accidentally bang into him right?” Yuya asked and sighed when Chinen nodded his head.
“Good luck.” Daiki patted his back with a small smirk before pushing him into the direction of Yuto who was eating a slice of chocolate cake happily. Yuya groaned and waited for Yuto to put the fork in his mouth before going over to ‘accidentally’ bang into him.
“Ow!” Yuto whined as he placed the fork down, gently touching the cut that was on his lips. Yuya apologized immediately and left for Daiki before Yuto could do anything to him and Chinen knew that it was his turn. He walked over to Yuto and held his chin up before closing in and licking the cut, moving away when he heard Yuto making a sound, thinking that he was embarrassed.
“Chii, did you eat something salty? The cut hurts more after you licked it.” Yuto stood up and went to wash his mouth, leaving a shocked Chinen there. He had thought that Yuto would at least get the hint but as usual, the lanky boy focused on the wrong thing. “Damn it!” Chinen pouted and sat on the sofa, starting to think of a new plan.

Two underage teenagers can be seen crowding at a small foldable table, trying to complete their homework during their break time. It was a productive break until the smaller of the two started tearing papers from his notebook just to pass notes to the other one whom was not even a meter away from him.
Chinen scribbled a few words on the paper then folded it and passed it to Yuto who just looked at him with a frown, either from concentrating to hard or not getting Chinen’s intention at all.
Want to come over today?
Yuto stared at the paper for a few seconds before crushing it and throwing it on to the floor.
Don’t ignore me beanstalk! Let’s go home together later.
And once again, Yuto threw the paper on the floor without replying which made Chinen unhappy. The shorter boy continued to spam notes while Yuto just kept throwing those papers on the floor, letting it join the gang of unwanted notes.
The war of paper continued even though Yuto didn’t even bother to read anymore and it finally ended when Yabu came in and slapped both of their heads before making them clean up while he stared at them sternly.
“You’re really an idiot Yuto.” Yabu shook his head after seeing Chinen stepped harshly on Yuto’s foot before stomping out of the room while Yuto just remained clueless.

Chinen tried with all his might to learn a particular English song to sing to Yuto, hoping that he would finally understand his feelings. Chinen made sure to let Yuto hear every word by standing in front of him and sang it with all his heart, not caring if there was an idiot couple making out in the corner of the room.
Well, you done done me and you bet I felt it
I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted
I fell right through the cracks
Now I'm trying to get back
Chinen moved closer to Yuto and grabbed his hands.
Before the cool dawn run out
I'll be giving it my bestest
And nothing's gonna stop me but divine intervention.
I reckon, it's again my turn
To win some or learn some.
He then wrapped his own hands around Yuto waist.
But I won't hesitate
No more, no more.
It cannot wait,

And Chinen stopped singing since he only managed to remember the lyrics until that far. He was sure that the lyrics was enough to express his love to Yuto and was looking up at him expectantly.
“You sang really nicely Chii,” This got Chinen’s hopes up. “But I have no idea what it means since I’m not exactly an expert in English.” Yuto gave a small pat on Chinen’s head before going back to what he was doing.
“Poor you.” Chinen heard Daiki snickered and turned to look at him and Yuya all messed up. He ignored the idiotic couple and tried to drown his sorrows in water. Yes, just plain mineral water.

“Yutti, I’ve something that I want to read to you.” Chinen said and Yuto motioned for him to sit on his laps which Chinen gladly did so. “I wrote this myself so listen carefully.”
Chinen begin reciting a poem he spent the whole of yesterday’s night writing, resting on Yuto’s chest comfortably. He didn’t even realise that Yuto had actually fallen asleep halfway through the poem until he finished reading and turned to Yuto.
“He’s tired after his water polo drama so don’t take it to heart.” Ryosuke said as he sat down next to Yuto with a shoujo manga in his hands.
“But Yutti can’t understand all my efforts.” Chinen pouted but that pout soon turned into a frown. “And it’s unfair that everyone can see my Yutti’s naked body everyday especially Yamazaki-kun and Mamiya-kun!” Chinen complained and Ryosuke just chuckled.
“Why don’t you just confess to him? Seeing as how dense Yutti is, you probably need to tell it straight into his face.” Ryosuke advice which made Chinen thinks deeply for a few minutes before deciding to do it, betting on his last hope.

Chinen can be seen fidgeting around due to nervousness which was a rare sight since Chinen was hardly nervous. He didn’t know when was the right time to stride over to Yuto to confess and what was he supposed to do if Yuto still couldn’t understand after all those. He sighed for the umpteenth time today until Ryosuke pushed him on the back and forced him to confess to Yuto already.
“Just try your best and I bet you with all my strawberries that it will go well.” With that, Chinen walked towards Yuto while the other members watched silently.
“Yu-Yutti, I need to tell you something.”
“I’m all ears.” Yuto looked up since it was rare to hear Chinen stutter so he guessed that the shorter boy must have something important to say.
“I like you.” Chinen gulped down a handful of saliva. “Please… go out with me?”
A moment of silence was heard and Chinen dropped his head, losing hope since by the expression on Yuto’s face, it seemed like he didn’t understand. Ryosuke was getting slightly nervous too as he saw his best friend’s face, hoping that it would really go well or not he won’t have any more strawberries.
A lightly slapped sound was heard and Chinen looked up to see Yuto covering his bright red face with the back of his hands. His ears were tinted red as well, making him look like an apple. You have no idea how cute Chinen thinks Yuto is since he was keeping a straight face though his heart was doing flips inside.
“R-really?” Was all Yuto could say but thankfully, he received a nod from Chinen in return.
“I would love to go out with you then.” Yuto smiled happily as he put his hand down though his face was still slightly flushed. The members then wolf-whistled and Chinen happily jump into Yuto’s arms, complaining about how dense he was since he didn’t notice all his affection before kissing him on the lips.
“You still like the dense me anyway.” Yuto stick out his tongue. “Just keep telling me the three words straight and I will definitely understand you.” Chinen blushed a little before whispering the three words once again then snuggled into Yuto’s chest in bliss and embarrassment.
