Summary : Ryosuke’s love life is getting hindered by a certain transfer student and it becomes worse when that transfer student falls in love with his crush.
Yuto spending time at Ryosuke’s house after school was supposed to be something that the older boy really likes and enjoys but it doesn’t look like he is enjoying himself now since the only thing Yuto talks about is how nice Kento is.
“Kento-kun is really nice and polite isn’t he~” Yuto sang as he rolled on Ryosuke’s bed.
“No he isn’t. Why are you already calling him by his name?” Ryosuke narrowed his eyes at the lanky figure, “You aren’t even calling me by my first name.”
Yuto turned to rest on his stomach in order to look at his best friend. “That’s because he said to call him Kento? I can call you Ryosuke if you want me to.” Yuto flashed his best smile. If calling Ryosuke by his first name didn’t cause all the heart thumping and burning of face, Ryosuke would definitely want Yuto to call him that.
“N-no need! Yama-chan is fine!” Ryosuke said as he grabbed a pillow from his bed and buried his face in it.
“Alright~ Anyway, just try to get along with Kento-kun. He seems to be a nice person.” Yuto got up from the bed.
“I’m going back now, see you tomorrow.” Yuto grabbed his bag and waved to Ryosuke before leaving the room. Normally, Ryosuke would have pleaded for Yuto to stay a little longer since the younger boy would always return home at random unexpected timings. However, he had loads of things to think about tonight and having Yuto in his room would only distract him.

“Yuto!” A voice called and both Ryosuke and Yuto turned to look at the person that called the lanky boy.
“Oh Kento-kun!” Yuto smiled and waved at him happily. Ryosuke watched with an annoyed expression as the two acted as if they were friends for a long time already. It took Ryosuke a few years to be able to call Yuto without adding anything behind his name and Kento merely took a day to make it to happen.
“Can I join you guys for lunch? I’m still not familiar with the people around here yet.” Kento bit his lips as he looks at Yuto, trying to look as pitiful as possible.
“No-”
“Yes!”
Both Ryosuke and Yuto replied at the same time. You don’t have to be genius to know who say what and hearing Ryosuke’s reply, Yuto turned to look at him with a frown.
“Yama-chan, remember what I told you yesterday?” Yuto looked at the shorter boy with an unpleasant look. It made Kento wondered what did the both of them talked about yesterday and looking at how Yuto reprimands Ryosuke, Kento sort of pitied the older boy and felt that he was lucky for not having met Yuto as friend.
“I get it already Yuto! Stop nagging!” Ryosuke admitted his defeat as the lanky boy was repeating the same thing all over again and as much as he loves Yuto, his ear could not take it whenever the younger boy starts to nag like his mother.
“That’s good. So Kento-kun, you can join us for lunch. Does the roof sound good to you?” Yuto offered with a polite smile while Ryosuke clicked his tongue, getting more and more irritated at Kento. Kento nodded his head hesitantly, not quite getting the situation on hand.
After finding a comfortable place to have their lunch, Yuto handed a bento to Ryosuke and a red box which includes a chopstick and spoon before taking another bento out, this time with a yellow box.
“You don’t have your own bento?” Kento looked at Ryosuke, mocking the older one through his eyes. Unfortunately, Ryosuke didn’t get affected by it. Instead, he had a triumphant smile plastered on his face as if he just won the biggest prize.
“Yuto makes it for me sometimes and his cooking skills are the best.” Ryosuke opened the lid of the bento and true enough, the dishes inside made Kento drool enviously. Yuto on the other hand, had no idea what the two was trying to do so he started eating on his own after muttering his own itadakimasu.
‘That airhead can actually cook?! In the first place, why must he cook for this bastard?!’ Kento’s lips twitched as Ryosuke started eating his bento, acting as if it was the most delicious thing in the world. Kento had no idea why was he feeling this pissed off. It was just a bento and Yuto cooking it or not makes no difference. Furthermore, to Kento, he was just a tool that would be used in the near future in order to win Ryosuke.
“So what? It will all end up in your stomach anyway. Does it matter who makes it?” Kento fumbled with the lid of his bento and started shoving spoonful of food down his throat.
“It probably does not matter but I thought you said you were going to take everything away from me? Including Yuto.” Ryosuke smirked at Kento as he has the upper hand now.
“I did say that. And I’m not taking it back.” That made Ryosuke’s smirk disappear. “There is still plenty of time so open your eyes and see how I slowly still your best friend away from you.” This time, it was Kento that smirked.
“Wait, let me correct myself. He’s your crush now isn’t he?” Kento smiled slyly and the tint of red on Ryosuke’s face confirmed his suspicion.
“If you know that, then don’t even try to lay your hands on him.” Ryosuke indirectly admitted to the fact that he likes Yuto.
Well, Ryosuke did quite a lot of thinking yesterday after Yuto left and thinking that he may have a slight crush to Yuto, the older boy sneaked into his sister’s room and grabbed a random girl’s magazine, thinking that it might help. Surprisingly, it did help him confirm his feelings towards Yuto and that’s why there is no way Ryosuke will just stand at a side and watch Kento steals Yuto away.
The two turned to look at the said boy and saw him looking down the fence, both having a different thought in their head.
‘I swear I won’t let this Yamazaki guy take Yuto away from me.’
‘Why must it be Nakajima Yuto that I’m trying to steal? Can’t it be someone better?’
