Summary : Just Yuto having another bad day at work and Yuya being an awesomely wonderful sweet boyfriend.
While waiting at the living room for his boyfriend to return home from work, Yuya started recalling about the times when the younger boy helped him greatly with just his presence. Before they had even started going out, Yuto had helped Yuya by staying up with him and listening to his sobs and whines when his ex-boyfriend had broken up with him with no particular reason.
Whenever he hits and obstacle and badly needs a shoulder to lean on, he would always find Yuto beside him, offering his bony shoulder. Despite the fact that it probably wasn’t comfortable to rest on, Yuya could find himself relaxing into Yuto’s warmth and unconsciously falling asleep, a smile plastered on his face. He was about to dig into his memories further when the main door clicked opened, indicating that his most precious person had come back.
“Welcome back Yuto.” Yuya got up from where he was when he saw the younger boy walked in. Dropping his bag next to the coffee table, Yuto stretched his long arms and pulled Yuya into a hug.
Burying his head into the crook of Yuya’s neck, Yuto let out a soft ‘I’m back’ before tightening his arms around the older’s neck. It was rare for Yuto to return home with such a low tension and when he does, it was either his client’s attitude was really bad or that he got scolded by his boss.
“So which was it today?” Yuya asked as he lightly patted Yuto on the head. It was one of the many affections that Yuto enjoys and also the least that Yuya could do for him.
“Both.” Yuto sounded like he was close to tears.
“Wow, that…sucks.” Yuya shook his head, pitying the boy in his arms.
“You don’t say.”
Yuya pushed the boy away slightly in order to look at his face and immediately, his heart ache at the expression Yuto was giving. Yuto looks extremely worn out and without a doubt, he was definitely close to tears but was trying his best to hold it in.
“It will be alright.” Yuya flashed a small smile as he cupped Yuto’s cheek. The younger boy didn’t look convinced at all.
“Have I lied to you?” Yuto shook his head.
“Then trust me, everything will be fine.” Yuya pecked Yuto on the forehead before ushering him to the bathroom and told him to take a shower. It had been a long day for him after all.
Yuto came out of the bathroom 20 minutes later with his hair still wet but instead of drying it, he walked to their shared bed and plopped face down, not moving a limb after that. It was only when Yuya came in to the room after he finished whatever he was doing outside that he saw Yuto lying on the bed with his hair wet.
“Come on Yuto, dry your hair first. You will catch a cold if you don’t.” Yuya tugged on the younger’s shirt.
“I don’t want to. I just want to sleep.” Yuto’s voice was muffled by the sheets but Yuya could still hear him clearly.
“No can do.” Yuya stated firmly before pulling Yuto up from the bed and dragging him over to the chair. It didn’t take him much effort since Yuto was full of bones and just…bones.
The older boy plugged the hair dryer in and started using it on Yuto, ruffling his hair in order for the heat to reach every single area while the younger boy just sat there with his back hunch and eyes closed.
“Is it too hot?” Yuya asked and received the shake of head from Yuto. With the occasional tugging of hair which Yuto found it extremely comfortable, he started leaning into Yuya’s chest.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” Yuto smiled, his eyes still closed. “I just realized how much I love you once again.”
Yuya’s face broke into a huge smile at that and fortunately, Yuto’s eyes were still closed or not he would be seen blushing fifty shades of red.
“And you’re probably right too.” Yuto spoke. Yuya tilted his head, confused. What was he right about?
Probably sensing that Yuya didn’t understand, Yuto opened his eyes and turned to face the older boy, the smile still on his face.
“You’re right about how everything will be fine.” Yuto wrapped his skinny arms around Yuya’s waist.
“I have the feeling that no matter how big the obstacle is, as long as you are here with me, everything will turn out perfect.” Yuto grinned and snuggled into Yuya’s chest.
Seeing Yuto’s smile made Yuya feel both relief and happy at the same time. The older boy felt like they were a perfect match for each other and even though it is Yuya saying it himself, there is no way anyone would deny it when the proof is just before their very eyes.
Yuya buried his face into Yuto’s hair, softly whispering ‘I love you’ and it doesn’t matter if Yuto didn’t hear it because there would be plenty of chances to shout it out to him in the future.
