I learned that students will never be where you want them to be. You have to lead them there. That means doing really boring work for a while (middle school type work) and gradually move them to doing fun lab activities

You and Claire are kind of my heroes right now. My gig with Kaplan is a cakewalk compared to what you're doing, but you guys inspire me to dream about being an awesome teacher. So anyway, hope you're able to keep finding the good and weathering the not so good.
