It's my liiife, it's now or neverrr~
Alright, to give a run down of what's been going on in my life since I've been sort of scarce on the posting lately. Trust me, I am online most days! I just don't always know how to update unless you know... my life has really updated. XD
So!~ What's been going on with me? Let's start with the good stuff.
-Thesis is completed, graded and printed, and I now have a bound copy. It actually brought up my GPA from a 3.6 to a 3.7, which more or less makes my over all average for undergrad a A-. Which is not only awesome, but makes me a contender for scholarships for Master Degrees.
-Applications for Library Sciences to University of Western Ontario and Dalhousie University has been sent in. Now I'm waiting to hear back if I've actually been accepted. Really hoping to get accepted into Dalhousie, since that's the closest one and I have relatives there.
-I now have a permanent job working at the Centennial government building in town with the Commissionaires till September. 7 days on, 7 days off with picking up spare shift here and there on my week off. It's actually a pretty good job, and I like the people there, so it's perfect for me.
-Got Pokemon Black, started with a Oshawott I named Ottawa. Currently trying to figure out what Pokemon to use when.
-Paid off all of my visa bill and what I owed to my parents for my Laptop, and I am not free of debt! And have a shiny new computer! \o/
-Still obsessed with Tangled. Actually got a hold of the art book and OH MY GOD IT'S SO PRETTY YOU GUYS. I can't stop looking at the prettiness of it all *A* Flynn and Rapunzel are adorable and I love them way too much. Can't wait for the movie to come out on DVD
-SAILOR MOON MANGA IS BEING RE-RELEASED ALONG WITH CODENAME: SAILOR V. I AM EXPLODING FROM HAPPY. I'VE WANTED THIS FOR TOO LONG.
-Still trucking along with the Dojinshi, though it's slow going.
-Pre-ordered Tangled DVD, Persona 3/4 box of keychain figures, Catherine and the new Miku figma.
And now the sort of not as great stuff.
-My DSlite's hinges have finally broke, so now it's all floppy. It's batteries are also slowly dying, so I'll probably be needing to look into a 3DS soon.
- I need to start working on getting healthier now that emotionally and mentally I'm doing so much better.
-GAH WAITING TO FIND OUT IF I GOT INTO A MASTERS PROGRAM ;A;
-I have a cold that won't go away. At least now I can relax and recover over this week, but still. Blaaaah germs.
-Haven't been able to rp lately due to germs and rp partners computer issues. It makes me sad. >:
-Too nervous to post things on tumblr.
Over all, the pros outweigh the cons! \o/
Looking over my artstyle, I realised I'm not really satisfied with it. I'm not a horrible artist by a long shot-- and no I'm not trying to sound egotistical, I swear, I just know that hey, it could be worse-- it's just not what I want yet. I've been looking into styles that I like and realised i want some sort of combination of western and anime styles; seeing people like Endling and aimo on DA and how they have this wonderful mix of both just encourages me to keep trying.
...That an my liking of Flynn and Rapunzel having renewed my interest in Disney style, thus leading me to learn how to draw them properly. I've noticed this is a pattern; whenever I like a new character I tend to absorb the art style they come from. Happened with Ace Attorney, then Persona, and now Disney with Tangled.
Anyway, how's everyone else doing? :D
