When Naoki sees Naoto and Takanori posing for the camera with each other’s produce, he snorts into his hand and waits until the photographer shuffles off to take photos of other members.
He’s still snickering softly when they turn around and spot him leaning against the door leading to the training room. Their faces light up a thousand watts, uncaptured by any camera or video. Naoto’s still biting Takanori’s lip-shaped lip balm - really? Takanolip? Gun-chan please - but his grin is unmistakable as he drinks in the sight of Naoki’s casually slouched form and faintly amused expression painted across his features.
“Naoki-san!” Takanori calls, his puppy grin in full force. He’s excited and nervous about his first Exile live tour, the pressure vastly different from what he experiences during his performances in Sandaime, and Naoki knows that feeling all too well. So he strides up to him and wraps long arms around the younger man, giving him a comforting pat on the back like he’s been doing for years.
Takanori sighs into the warm embrace and hugs him back. Naoki-san’s hugs are the best, very nice and very sincere. Also, Naoki-san is just the right size to hug as well, being the giant teddy bear people seek comfort from...
They pull apart when Naoto clears his throat. Naoto’s perfectly trimmed eyebrows are arched, dark eyes glaring pointedly at them, and especially at Takanori’s hand lingering around Naoki’s waist.
Naoki thinks he looks adorably ridiculous - Naoto’s teeth are still clasped over the lip balm like he has forgotten its existence.
Gently, Naoki eases it out, ignoring Naoto’s protests, and swiftly presses his lips to the older man’s. “Let’s do our best later, Nao-san,” he mumbles shyly, slowly turning pink as if the realisation of his actions has just hit him. By then, several staff members have entered the vicinity, witnessed the whole exchange, and are currently examining the flawless whitewashed walls and patterned floor tiles.
It is nothing new. Everyone knows the bromance between the Sandaime leaders; even the older Exile members encourage it (“Because, fans find their disparity cute and it keeps them wondering whether there’s something between them,” explains Matsu), but it does not lessen the amount of cute they exhibit whenever they interact. It comes so naturally to them.
Much to everyone’s surprise, Naoki steps back and flees, leaving behind a grinning Takanori and a dazed Naoto who is now sporting a silly lopsided grin and looking every inch like the boy who has finally scored a date with the girl he’s had a crush on for years. Except, Naoki is nothing like a girl.
For all they know, the leaders might have married secretly in the States and combined their family names.

In the hallway, Naoki narrowly avoids crashing into Kenchi, who notices his flaming face immediately.
"Whoa, Naoki, what happened to you?" remarks Kenchi.
"I-nothing. It’s not something of your concern."
"Ah," says Kenchi knowingly, lips quirked. "Details, Naoki. I want all of them. Now."
"No." Kenchi may not be a tattletale, but he’s good at blackmail, and the less ammunition he has, the better for everyone’s sanity. Although Takahiro’s worse, being the outright pervert with devastatingly good looks.
"It’s alright, I’ll get the sordid details later." Kenchi grins lasciviously, wriggling his eyebrows. He grabs Naoki’s wrist, and leans in to whisper in Naoki’s ear. "Everything."
Naoki absolutely refuses to rise to the bait, even though there are no sordid details. Nothing worth mentioning.
“Kenchi-san, Naoki-san, it’s almost time for the concert to begin,” says a passing-by female staff member. Naoki could kiss her for saving the day. “Please hurry up and get dressed.”
Kenchi barks out a laugh. He relaxes his grip, then loops arms with him. “There goes my fun. Oh well, I’ll know soon enough. Let's go, Naoki-chan~"
Naoki shudders.
