Author's notes: Old work, but I like it. Maybe I'll expand. Who knows?

Dying hurt.
Dying because of one infuriating man, no, assassin, hurt more. Especially when he does it with a sweet smile, sliding a dagger through his ribs. He feels his heart beating slower, and slower, blood gurgling in his mouth, and vaguely feels a pair of warm lips covering his own.
The next moment, his eyes fly open, and he sits up so suddenly he nearly gives himself a headache. He looks around and spots a familiar face in deep slumber beside him, curled like a black panther on the bed. It makes him look younger, peaceful even.
Sensing his wakefulness, the assassin - his murderer, Naoto’s brain supplies cheerfully - stirs, and blinks sleepily at him, ebony hair tousled about his face. "Good morning," he murmurs, not bothering to dodge the pillow thrown at his face.
"Good morning my ass," Naoto snarls, "I'm supposed to be dead. I felt myself dying. You killed me. How am I still alive?"
"I revived you." The assassin says calmly, as if they are simply discussing the weather. "Then I brought you here."
"Are you expecting me to believe that?!" Naoto yells, tossing another pillow at him. "Who are you? Why did you kill me, only to revive me afterwards? Assuming I believe you."
"You weren't meant to die." He picks up the pillows, fluffs them and places them under his head. "Reviving you saps my energy, however, so I will continue to sleep. Please don't attempt to kill me in my slumber - I will know and there is no second resurrection." For you, his silence adds.
Naoto squints at him. "Dude, I don't even know your name."
"Naoki." Naoki yawns, covering his mouth with his hand. "Good night, Naoto-san."
