Last Saturday two of my friends from college (university) got married. I went to New York for their wedding. Some people might know that I'd been stressing about this wedding for about the past year. I didn't know if I could cope going to America. I didn't know if I could cope with all the new people I'd be meeting. I was worried that I'd never ( Read more... )

It sounds like, all things considered, it was a lovely week, and you got to see New York and be there for your friend. *Win*

Her mother commented on the last day "I'm so glad you guys could make it. It means a lot to her."
It was the first suggestion I'd got that it meant anything more to them than "oh, it's nice to have you here" and that was pretty awesome.

New York is big. And impressive. And big. I'm glad I saw it.

An adventure in all senses of the word, both the enjoyable and scary types of adventure. I'm glad for the bits you enjoyed, and impressed you didn't let the other bits get you down too much to enjoy yourself. It sounds like a very positive week

I find that even the scary types of adventure are fun to look back on, so the whole thing gets bundled into the "I'm glad I went" category :D
