Ha! Look at me. I found an internet cafe afterall. But (dummy that I am) I forgot to bring my written journal with me to convert some of the things I said in there onto here. So . . . lemme . . . think . . . what have I done?
So, anyway, now that you've clicked. This is my London trip thusfar. Some good. Some bad. Never perfect, but nothing is.
Tuesday: Go to airport. They've fucked up our flight. So we go home. Don't get to leave for another 24 hours.
Wednesday: Airport trip number 2. We leave for Charlotte, SC at 9am. Get there at 10. Don't get to leave for London until 8pm. Damnit. So I explored that airport a lot. Read all my magazines. Finally, I get on the flight. I have my own TV! RAD. Can't sleep so I watch Mystic River and Sex and the City.
Thursday: Damn flight attendants wake us up at 6am *london time from now on* with their stupid donut business. Land in London. Find our house which is HUGE! So tired. Get thai food and go to some pub. Take the bus around and just look at things. The buildings are so neat. Go home and pass out.
Friday: Loooong day. We see a lot. Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Picadilly, Trifalgar Square, and Chicago at the Adelphi! I finally got to see the play Chicago. It was cool. The dude playing Billy Flynn used to be the lead singer of some band called Wet!Wet!Wet! who was apparently big in the 80's. I don't remember hearing about them. Maybe it was a British thing. I don't know. Have any of you heard of them? Huh? Anyway, that was about it. I came home and experienced some bad british tv. British tv is funny. haha.
Saturday: So today we went to Kent with some of my stepmom's cute little British friends. We went to a castle where Anne Boyelin used to live. For the life of me, I can't remember the name of it. But it was very nice. The story of Anne Boyelin (sp?) is very interesting. She was Henry VIII's second wife. Henry VIII had her beheaded because she couldn't produce an heir or because she was adulterous or something. He had a lot of her suitors beheaded as well. They had a whole wax museum about it. The gardens outside of the castle were HUGE and so pretty. They have so many birds here that I've never seen or heard of before. Cute ones with little heads and big feet. We went through one of those cool garden mazes that you're always seeing in The Shining. Lots of fun. Afterwards, we had real british tea and scones. The tea was amazing. Best black tea I've ever had . . . I may even like black tea now. It was yum.
today: Well, I just woke up a while ago. Drinking an Americano. I think we might try to get more theater tickets and go on a bus tour. It's a me and dad day today. I don't think my stepmom or my stepbrother like me very much. My stepmom said that she was trying really hard to get along with me but I had to try, too. I don't understand what she means. I have been very nice and enjoyed myself this entire trip. I like her and Cory and have been nothing but pleasant and willing to do whatever they would like to do. So the only conclusion I can come to is that she doesn't like me. I don't really know how to deal with that. I consider myself a pretty friendly person and don't understand what I'm doing that makes me so difficult. My dad doesn't know either.
Anyway, I don't want to think about it. I'm just trying to have fun on this trip.
Okay, thanks for reading about my trip. More later.
