Early in the morning, Daiki saw Hikaru and Inoo trying extremely hard to break apart the newest pair in JUMP before they start to show ‘live porn’ in front of the rest member of JUMP. Even Takaki tried to close Ryutaro’s eyes with his palm only to have the younger one struggle around saying, “I’m not kid anymore!!! So let me go!!” but Takaki retorted by totally ignoring Ryutaro and tried to stop the youngest from struggling and cover his eyes, “You’re a brat!!! And that was an adult’s scene!!”
Daiki somehow wished that was it was he who tried to Ryutaro’s innocence, and not Takaki. That weird and sudden desire shocked him, and he shook his head to clear his mind. He watched the YamaChii vs HikaNoo battle to distract him from any further imagination.
“What the hell is wrong with that? We’re just practicing you know…” Yamada said while crossed his arm hoping to explain himself.
“There’s no kissing scene in our SUMMARY, so there’s no excuse for both of you to do anything weird!” Inoo mama said firmly.
“There is! There is kissing scenes with Yamachan in NYC songs!!” Now the little squirrel also defended himself.
“YOU MEAN THE IMAGINARY ONE?!! Nothing like that ever happened!” Hikaru shook his head and brought Chinen to his side while Inoo grab Yamada to his. At least someone has to separate them before they start making out in dressing room.
“NOOO YAMACHAAAANNNN!!!!!!!!”
“CHINEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!”
They sound like a drama queens now. Okay, that was just one of the smallest scenes in JUMP which happened almost every day in their -not-so-quiet- dressing room. Soon, they’ll perform SUMMARY 2010. And they would do various things in their performance, singing, dancing, jumping, flying, even walking on tightropes. Daiki felt his stomach clinched in an uncomfortable way every time he thought of his tight rope walk with Yamada later on. Speaking of which, when did Yamada and Chinen get together by the way? He didn’t have any idea, and he wanted an explanation. And soon, Daiki spotted Chinen, who was pouting cutely, and he approached him.
“Chii, when did you go out with him?” He asked since it looks like he’s the last person who know about the news and thought it’s so unfair since he was the one who was always being bothered by Chinen’s nervousness over Yamada during these the past days.
Chinen cheeks flushed in an obvious shade of red, biting his bottom lip in a cute way, “It’s a LOOOOOOOOOO~NG story Daichan!!Here’s how it goes...” Chinen started to tell the chubby-cheek boy about what happened between them.
An hour 17 minutes later..
“Chii… Chii… I understand so clearly so please stop!!” Daiki is now lying on the couch while rubbing his head, Chinen was just so excited in the middle of his story and he started to blabber on and on, making him unstoppable. He sounded like a broken radio who repeated the same things in a different way, different style, different tone, different usage of words, but the core issues are totally same.
“HIKARUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!” Suddenly the dressing room’s door slammed open, showing Hikaru who was laughing like a fool and being chased around by Ryutaro but Hikaru kept running in and out from the dressing room while Ryutaro grumpily chased behind him. Daiki just look at the scene with a confused look but finally he remembered something.
“Hey Chii, you do know the reason why he was crying yesterday, right? You’ve been following them after that…”
“Aaaahh… That... Yeah, why??” Chinen remembered clearly all of silly things which made him worried for nothing.
“Umm, nothing actually…” he shrugged his shoulder, but a brilliant idea just popped out in his head, so he added, “Curious??” Chinen asked while... Well, he smirked. But poor Daiki didn’t notice that.
“No-not really…” he unconsciously looked up and to the right. And it’s obvious that he lied.
“Oh, so that means you don’t want to know…” Chinen pretended to leave but Daiki held his arm and stopped him.
“I thought you said you weren’t curious?”
“FINE!! What the heck happened with him yesterday??” Daiki pouted and Chinen turned his face to the opposite side with an “I WIN” posing style and for a split second he turned to Daiki with teary eyes.
“Wh-what??” The older boy gulped.
“Promise me... Don’t tell everyone about this..” Chinen hold both of Daiki’s arms with his teary sparkling eyes and Daiki just nodded with uneasy feeling around him.
“Yesterday I heard Ryuu said to Yamachan that his parents forced him to leave Johnnys…”
“WHAAAATTTTTT?????????????????” What a shock!!! Daiki almost got heart attack but Chinen shut his mouth with his palm.
“Ssshh!!!! Lower your voice!! I don’t want the others to find out yet!!!” Chinen pretended to look around.
“But.. W-H-Y???” Daiki look at Chinen with unbelievable looks.
“They said Ryuu’s academic achievement has decreased drastically so they made him quit! He said he’ll leave after SUMMARY!! Ahh, Yamachan is there… I have to leave!! And remember, I have your promise to not tell this to anyone!!” Chinen said and left the penguin boy alone.
Daiki just nodded absent-mindedly, still too shock to do anything besides standing there, stunned. He didn’t know what to do next. He wasn’t ready yet to accept the fact that Ryutaro would be leaving them soon, before he could say sorry, before they made up for their silly fight, before he even said that the younger was precious to him. ‘NO!!! Ryutaro can’t be leaving like this!!! I won’t let him!!!’ Daiki shouted in his mind.
Meanwhile,
“How was it??” Yamada approaches Chinen who giggling cutely.
“I left him. I couldn’t be with him any longer or I’ll burst to laughter. He looks so miserable… I thought this one is too cruel.”
“It’s okay… It’s okay… We’ll help those 2 idiots!!” Yamada replied while kissing him on the right cheek.
* * * * * * *
“Tsk, why does Daichan is keep looking at me??” The youngest member thought and excused himself to the toilet, checking if Hikaru drew on his face again although it’s impossible since a few hours later, Summary will begin and there’s no way Hikaru will do something which could make him being tortured by Yabu.
“Hmm, nothing’s wrong with me today…” Ryutaro scratched his head and turn around just for find Yamada standing behind him.
“OH DARN!!!! YOU FREAK ME OUT!!!!” He shouted while clutching onto his chest.
“What?? What made you stare at me like that??” Ryutaro asked.
“I’m worried about Daichan...” Yamada sighed.
“What happened to him??” He asked since he still feels uncomfortable when the Daiki kept staring at him today.
“I don’t know but something’s wrong with him. I think he has a big problem right now. Today he’ll do tightrope walking over 3.5 meters. If he lost concentrate, he’ll fall. Now, it makes me worried.” Yamada said with fake teary eyes.
“But, you would do it too” Ryutaro said. Shouldn’t Yamada concern of his own safety first?
“Yes, and I’m sure I will do well. But Daichan didn’t look that good at our last practice. I wonder what’s wrong with him lately; it seems there’s something in his mind that distracts him from concentrating. Oh, I hope he’ll be okay.” Yamada said, washing his hands and staring at Ryutaro through the mirror. Ryutaro didn’t say anything, just walking away leaving Yamada in the toilet.
10 minutes before summary begins, all of them gathered and prepared themselves to start SUMMARY.
“He was looking at me earlier. Maybe he wants to tell me something?? Maybe about his problem?? What if he falls from a height of 3.5 meters?? Should I ask him?? But... We haven’t talk for more than a month and it’ll be awkward...” The youngest member in JUMP looked so confused while contradicting himself in his thoughts.
“He’ll leave after this, but I still haven’t said anything to him. This is the last performance that I’ll have with him. I don’t want us to end like this! I REALLY DON’T WANT THAT! Somehow it makes me feel lonely... I mean it’s not like I can’t live without him but… Somehow.. something is lacking if there isn’t him… Maybe… He’s the reason for me to be here…” Daiki was also busy with his own thoughts but one thing is for sure, they’re fighting over their pride. Once their eyes meet, they tried to avoid each other’s gaze.
But they’re professionals; they showed their best with their fans and received uncountable love from their fans. Then finally it started, Yamada and Daiki will do tightrope walking.
“YAMACHAN!!!! GANBATTE!!!!” Chinen yelled and Yamada just nodded while smiling. In other side Ryutaro just watch at Daiki worriedly. It seems he couldn’t gather his thoughts together and he’ll surely fall. Throwing his pride to one side, he decided to speak to the older boy when their eyes finally meet each other for the nth time.
“Do your best…” Ryutaro was mouthing that to the older boy.
Daiki looked astonished when he noticed that Ryutaro was aiming those words towards him. He smiled toward the younger boy and mouthed back “Ganbattemasu, Thank You”.
Three words from Ryutaro was like magic for Daiki, he didn’t asked him to finished the tightrope, nor did he say something like “You have to do it!” as well, it was just “Do your best..” he believed if he tries hard and never give up, good things will happen. Daiki smiled, closed his eyes and take a deep breath.
“I’ll do my best…” His eyes look 100% different than before. It was with full confidence and thanks to God that he finished the tightrope walking successfully.
Now it was B.I. Shadow turn and all of JUMP members get to take a break in the backstage for a few minutes after changing their clothes.
“I love this year SUMMARY! We get do a lot of new challenges! And I want to congratulate both of you, Daichan and Yamachan!! You guys did great!” Yuto said energetically.
“Yes! I was a bit worried about Yamachan who has fears for height and Daichan who looks weird since this morning…” Yabu added. “ But at least they did it successfully!” Chinen butted in.
“We hope our bond will increase deeply than before naa!!!” Chinen said cutely and it was meant for Yamada actually.
“Of course!! I hope we won’t break apart no matter what!!!!” Yamada replied.
“YES!! JUMP with 10 members is PERFECT!!!!” Yuto said excitedly.
“NO ONE COULD BREAK US APART!!!!” Inoo also joined their conversation and Daiki just watch them with his sad eyes. No one knows about Ryutaro will leave soon. Then he looks at Ryutaro who was just smiling while looking at them.
“He pretends to be strong, huh?” Daiki thought and somehow it makes Daiki want a longer performance time for SUMMARY! Once it’s over, Ryutaro will leave. But he doesn’t have any power to stop the time, time flows and finally it ends. During encore, as usual Yamada started bursting into tears and it affected all the other members except Ryutaro who had never cried in any concerts before. Daiki also cried, he felt so touched with all of the fans who support them ,however he also felt sad that finally SUMMARY has come to an end and that also meant that Ryutaro will leave soon.
“We have to end it with smile naa…” Ryutaro smile when he saw almost JUMP member broke with tears and of course it caught Daiki’s attention.
“He wants to leave with smile. Such a strong kid…” Daiki tried to stop his tears but somehow he couldn’t. They leave the stage and back to the backstage.
“Otsukaresama deshita....”
“Otsukaresama deshita....” Both of JUMP member and all of SUMMARY staff were shaking hands and bowing to each other. They ended 2010 SUMMARY successfully. But it seems Daiki still couldn’t stop his tears every time he looks at Ryutaro.
“I’ve talked to him on the stage once, so I think it’s ok to talk with that cry baby right now…” Ryutaro thought and approached Daiki only to find the shorter boy still crying and it looked so cute. Without hesitation, he wiped Daiki’s tears with his thumb. Daiki felt so surprised when he felt Ryutaro’s warm hand touch his cheek.
“Believe me you’ll hurt your eyes if you cry too much… I experienced that a few days ago...” Ryutaro said half-laughing. Without thinking, Daiki hold Ryutaro’s arm and take him to somewhere far away from backstage while YamaChii’s pair smiling after saw that.
“Daichan! Where are we going??” The youngest but taller boy asked him confusedly. Finally they stopped and Daiki hug him tightly.
“Eh?? Daichan?? Daichan?? Are you okay??” Ryutaro asked panicky when he felt the shorter boy acting so strangely.
“I’m sorry…”He just said those two words, still hugging him.
“It doesn’t matter. I’m sorry too… I was act so childish back then…” Ryutaro replied and Daiki broke the hug. He looks at Ryutaro’s round and big eyes with his puffy eyes and a few second later he landed his lips on Ryutaro’s.
Ryutaro looked like a dead-fish too shocked to respond the kiss. There was a slight impulse to push the older away, but he simply couldn’t do that, the older boy’s lips just felt so right against his. And he felt so damn happy at the kiss for a reason he couldn’t figure out. But Daiki is not just his friend, friends don't look at each other like they do. Daiki is not just his friend, friends don't think of each other the way they do. Daiki is not just a friend, friends don't kiss like they do. The kiss must be something, right? So then...what are they?
Ooh, yes, he admitted now, he was in love with Daiki. If not, he wouldn’t feel this way, right? His heart is beating so fast against Daiki’s chest? These fluttering feelings when he glanced at Daiki? Those butterflies in his stomach that makes him squirm in nervousness when he sees Daiki?? But could he tell Daiki about his feelings? He didn’t want to ruin everything that they have right now. And what would Daiki think if he revealed that he loves him…? But Daiki wouldn’t kiss him for nothing right? Daiki must be having same feelings with him.
Ryutaro’s train of thoughts stopped when Daiki pulled away from him, blushing hardly. And Ryutaro regretted that he was too lost in his thoughts that he didn’t enjoy every minute of the time when Daiki’s lips on his. And now, they stood in an awkward situation.
DARN! What did I do? Daiki whacked himself in his mind as he shot a shy look sideways at the taller boy. He couldn’t explain his impulsive act, kissing the younger boy all of a sudden. But the thought of losing Ryutaro haunted him like crazy and that time he realized that like, you know you're in love when the hardest thing is to say goodbye. And he already knows the answer. But to say it out loud just…would be awkward. And he didn’t like the idea of being trapped in a situation where he would have to explain everything and didn’t know how the younger would react to this sudden change of matters.
But he also know too well that he didn’t have all the time in the world as he tried his best to say that three magic words, that he found so hard to say when he really comprehend his true feelings towards Ryutaro. However, his thought of Ryutaro leaving soon made him burst out his confession towards the youngest.
“I love you… Please don’t leave me…” Daiki said with his face totally turns red.
Ryutaro seemed startled for a brief second before he finally confessed his heart out, “I love you too…” Ryutaro said shyly and hugged the older boy tightly, throw all of their prides away and finally they become one. And this time, Ryutaro made sure that he’ll enjoy every second of it.
Once they’re pulled apart and stared lovingly at each other, with Ryutaro’s confession, Daiki felt like he can make Ryutaro stay. Leaving is not only choice. He could ask Ryutaro to stay in the Jimusho, keep Ryutaro on his side.
“I’ll do anything for you… But please don’t leave me…” Daiki said and Ryutaro just nodded although somehow it makes he thinks “Since when this penguin could say something like this?”
“Even though I’m not as smart as Inoo-chan, I could help you with all of your school subjects… And your homework” Daiki continued and Ryutaro looks kind of confused now but still nodded.
“Then I’ll speak with your parents…” Ryutaro’s eyes widened and release their hug.
“Wait!!! You’re… Kidding, right??” The taller boy thought it was just too fast to tell his parents since they’re still newbie and besides that, it’s gay relationship. His parents might commit suicide after hearing that.
“No, I’m serious!!! The sooner the better! We’ll talk to your parents after this!!” Ryutaro still look puzzled while imagining his parents really committing suicide.
“NO NO NO!!! Please don’t!!!!!” Ryutaro shook his head while make an X sign with his hands.
“WHY?? Don’t you love me??”
“I LOVE YOU!!!”
“Then I’ll help you to talk with your parents then you won’t quit!!!”
“But...... Wait!! Wait!!! Quit??” Now the taller boy is titled his head.
“Why are you looking so confused?? Ah… Sorry, actually Chii told me that you’ll quit from Johnny’s..”
“Me?? Quitting Johnny’s??”
“Yes… Aren’t you??” It was Daiki’s turn to frown.
“It never even crossed in my mind that I will someday quit Johnnys… What are you talking about??”
“HAAA??????” Daiki flabbergasted.
“What made you think that way?” Ryutaro said half confused and half amused at the older boy’s reaction.
“Damn Chii!!!! He tricked me!!!!” Daiki pouted while planning that he’ll do something to the cutest member later since Chinen successfully made him lost his concentration at everything he did since the time he told him that ‘fake’ news.
“Don’t said this is the one which makes you look so miserable today??”
“Of course! What else?????” Daiki answered still irked.
“Awww, Daichan keep thinking of me all daa~y..” Ryutaro said laughing, well, mocking him but actually he feels happy about that.
“SHUT UP!!!!!” Daiki now chasing Ryutaro and pinned him against the wall.
“Ok ok, I’m sorry… I’m sorry… Let’s go home, ok?”
“Not until you receive your punishment, brat!” Now Daiki closed his eyes and locked their lips together. Once again Ryutaro felt like he was about to die and felt his heart want to jump out from his mouth. But finally he closed his eyes and returns his kiss. Daiki lick the younger lips ask for entrance and their tongue dance in a rhythm while fighting for dominance. Thanks to Chinen but somehow Daiki won’t remain silent about that. He tricked him anyway.
In the other side…
“Let’s go home Chii!!!” Yamada said happily.
“Nee Yamachan, somehow I feel something bad will haunt me later…” Chinen said while walk hand in hand with Yamada.
“Is that so?? Don’t worry, I’ll protect you…”
