Anime for Older Kids June meeting!!

Hey gang!!  In just two short weeks, we will be getting together again for more Anime for Older Kids!!  The meeting will be held the first Monday of the month, same place as usual

Just saw Katsuhiro Otomo's Memories, 3 short films which amount to almost 2hours of Anime goodness. The art in all three is fantastic, as well as the story lines and intellectual content. If you haven't seen these yet, the DVD can be rented at Blockbuster in the Sundance Recommends section.

BTW, I will be attending next Monday's meeting. Until then, take care all!

I've been wanting to see Karas, so I think I'll drop by if my energy holds out, that is.

Memories is excellent...I really enjoyed it.

I just got a hold of Berserk, and hopefully, vol 2 of Solty Rei will be in my mailbox today.

2nd monthly meetings

I really want to have another meeting per month, and I was thinking about locations. We're all adults right? This being said, I wouldn't have a problem with hosting a meeting once a month at my parent's house. They have a huge tv and a bangin' sound system, so it's basically like a small theater. However, seating would be limited to prolly about 10 people. Let me know if this idea sounds feasible. Oh ya, I was also thinking that it would be cool to have a discussion forum somewhere so that we could talk about different things related to anime. Not many of my current friends are that into it, so it's hard for me to find what's out there. What do you think?
