Thank you for your comment. It was fun creating the chapter headings. Again and again new things were added when another chapter was finished. I wanted to capture the magical atmosphere of the story.
I LOVE THE LITTLE VOODOO DIVIDERS, THEY ARE THE COOLEST! Another marvelous set of artwork with so much attention for detail. I keep scrolling back and forth to discover more. Great job on keeping all the elements in the story banner for both dimensions. The chapter headers are little stories all on their own and the transformation set of Jared is so very awesome. I love every bit of this artpost, including the extensive additional information about your thoughts and techniques <3<3
Thank you for your great praise. I had created the voodoo needles beforehand and wanted to incorporate them into a chapter heading. But they didn't work, were too small for the still life. But as a divider they unfold their full splendor. It was pretty difficult to get all the elements from the banner into the cover. But I did it. And you can see the result here. I've always been fascinated by voodoo and I was able to let off steam with the still lifes. The many hints in history also helped. Jared as Baron Samedi was a last minute idea. And it worked so well with the implementation. I was thrilled, so I also depicted the transformation to explain the development steps. I think the additional information will help to understand the art even better and to connect it with the story.
