Second semester in the bag

As far as I can tell, I am DONE. But, man, it's been a grueling few weeks, which is why I basically fell off the face of the earth for, you know, a month. It was all I could do to keep up with weekly obligations, particularly as I was having a hard time focusing for a couple of weeks, and then I had end-of-term projects due, two Sundays in a row ( Read more... )

When I saw the odd egg in there, my first thought was Cowbird. They're our major nest parasitizer out here. Catbirds do it, too? They don't come this far west, at least not yet.

I'm going to see if my library has a couple of the books you recced, especially the poem.

I hope you like it, if you read it! Be prepared for a lot of Spanish phrases being thrown in, but (at least for me) I was able to figure out most from context, and the tiny bit of Spanish I already knew.

Congrats again on being done with school, and well done! <3

I'm not sure if I'll try to get him vaccinated while I'm there. On the one hand, he never goes anywhere, and hardly sees anyone other than the woman who brings him his groceries and, very very rarely, his next-door neighbors. On the other hand, couldn't hurt. But it would be easier to get him J&J so I don't have to worry about how to get him to Jab #2, and that's proving more difficult.I think it would be a good idea to get him *a* shot, even if it's not J&J ( ... )
