Today I am finally nearing the requirement to have my drains removed. I have to be down to 25cc's of fluid in a 24 hour period, and I was down to 30cc's today. It was 50cc's yesturday, so I'm chugging right along. I also re-gained some mobility in my upper arms and managed to perform hygiene by myself. Okay, NOW I'm sorta up to speed. (Went back and read the other entries. Dang, gal. I'm sorry I missed all this.) Bai Mei, are you okay? Are the drugs keeping your pain down?

I don't know what kind of surgery you had, but it sounds like you're really making progress. And yeah, that first shower afterward is....damn--the closest thing to Heaven at times.

And getting the drains out shouldn't be as bad as you're imagining. I'd get a little pre-medicated before hand if it were me...but I'm a total wuss. I hope it's totally easy for you.
