Awwww, how sad that the weather was against you :-( It's quite an experience crossing those streams, but I can only imagine how treacherous it must have been especially in the wind and rain... *horrible*

Grandalf is certainly a character and so *fit*, he put some of us to shame!

You have my deepest sympathy and greatest admiration for braving the conditions and achieving your goal, you can be rightly proud of yourselves!!!

I kept thinking, would I have hiked or would I have staying in that nice warm van? I think I might have hiked and then wanted to curl up somewhere warm afterwards or taken a hot shower. I was huddled in my nice warm furry blankies being thankful I wasn't wet and shivering. What an incredible experience though. Unforgettable and beautiful and an achievement. Hugs you all! xoxooxo v
