Gakuto stretched his arms over his head, muscles still feeling a little sore from dance lessons earlier. It’d been an interesting day and he’d stayed after to work out the steps some more. Probably shouldn’t have but whatever. The only reason he hadn’t stayed even longer was the fact that he’d been made to leave. It was just one of those days when he just wanted to move around and couldn’t sit still at all. Glancing at his phone, he was surprised to learn that it wasn’t even that late.
The phone rung a moment later. Yuushi had noticed that the little red head was bored. He had heard him complaining over the net and in person. He had been a little busy in the recording booth with his violin. He hadn’t been all that serious about his music and really...he still wasn’t serious about making it to the top ten. But he did want to make his fans happy.
But Gakuto was right. it was boring and he wanted to take the little red head out. They hadn’t been out together alone in ages. And he had the best idea for someplace to go. He just hoped that his partner would agree. But first he had to wait for the other to pick up the phone.
Gakuto jumped when the phone rang. He’d still be holding and going through his messages, wondering if anyone would have been up for doing something. He stared at it for a moment before realizing that yeah, his phone was actually ringing. Seeing who it was, Gakuto couldn’t help but grinning.
“Yuushi,” he greeted. “This is unexpected. What’s up?”
Yuushi smiled and he was sure the smile somehow carried over the phone. He knew that he had one of those voices. He didn’t want to sound like he was trying to come on to the red head...At least not too strongly. “Well.” He purred. “This little birdie told me that a certain sexy little red head was dreadfully bored.”
He hummed a little. “I told you I’d call you when I thought of something. Well...I thought of something. Do you want to come out with me today?”
The grin on Gakuto’s face grew. “Something fun, I assume,” he answered. “Give me about five minutes and I’ll be right over.” With things the way they’d been, he hadn’t been hanging out with Yuushi as much lately. Both were busy people and it was becoming rare for their schedules to both open up and they could do something. He hoped, now that Yuushi was done with those guitar lessons, that they’d have more opportunities to see each other now.
“All right. Five minutes.” He said with a little hum. “If you don’t show up, I’ll expect the worse and send out the search dogs.” He was already dressed for the outing he had planned, so he didn’t have to worry about that. He just wondered if Gakuto would want to go. Because as it was, they hadn’t been out together in a while, and seeing each other in the lobby while going to and from gigs and interviews wasn’t enough.
Okay, so it was more like it took him ten minutes but Gakuto was all too soon standing in front of Yuushi’s door. Taking a deep breath, he opened the door. “Yuushi! Let’s go,” he called out excitedly. He wondered what Yuushi wanted to do. Normally going places with the Osakan was fun, the guy always managing to surprise him and pick the perfect thing for them to do.
Five minutes passed and then ten. Yuushi didn’t call out the JSDF or get the search and rescue dogs. Instead, he just waited. Soon enough, the door was opening and the red head was there, demanding they go...now. He smiled and lazily got up to stride over to the shorter boy. He was aware of how he looked in his clubbing clothing. One of his fans had once called him “sex on legs”.
He offered his arm. “I know just the place. It’s a fun little night club. I think you’ll like it.” He’d done his research. Pandora’s Box was a din of sin and sex and the best house dance music in the club scene.
Seeing Yuushi, Gakuto suddenly felt under-dressed. The guy looked good. Very good. And his look had the feel of going somewhere special. “Do I need to change?” He asked, giving himself a once-over.
But a club. “Dancing?” He grinned. “You know me so well, Yuushi.”
Yuushi thought a little. He looked the redhead over. He looked him over again, at every last detail. “Change? I like you just the way you are.” He purred a little and grinned cheekily at the other teen. Then he nodded. “Yes. Dancing. I know you were wanting to go. So I thought I could just take you myself.” He moved to slide a hand down that nimble little frame. “So, shall we go? I promise you won’t be at all out of place there. and in fact, I’m willing to bet every eye will be on you and everyone will be asking themselves who that sexy red head is.”
“If you say so,” Gakuto finally decided after a few moments. He knew once he started dancing, he wasn’t going to care at all. But Yuushi was lying and Gakuto knew it. There was no way everyone would be watching him. They’d all be keeping their eye on the blunette. Taking the arm that’d been offered to him, he glanced over. “Well, let’s go then,” he said, leading the way out of the apartment. Not that he had any clue as to where they were going other than that it was a club where he’d get to dance. And really, that, and the fact that it was with Yuushi, were the only things that mattered.
Everyone might watch Yuushi, but Yuushi was going to be a good boy and his eyes would be on Gakuto. He just hoped that Gakuto would like the place. Which was why once they were on the street, Yuushi took the lead with his usual slow pace. He was in no hurry to get there because he knew the good music didn’t start for a little while. And it was nice to be outside without the looming shadow of the annoying bodyguards.
He teased a little as they went. “Perhaps next time, we can plan this better, but for now, this will do.” Because this way, no guards...and further more...less fans out and about to tweet and blog about seeing the two of them arm and arm walking down the street. He’d had enough of that when he had come across the picture of himself, Shishido and Gakuto as girls.
If he weren’t so used to Yuushi’s slow pace, Gakuto probably would have been annoyed. Going slow was boring, especially when there were exciting places to be. Like dance clubs. He knew he was grinning and it was all the redhead could do to keep from bouncing as they walked. Still, just the fact that they were going somewhere--and it being somewhere that Gakuto actually really did want to go to--was more than enough.
“This is fine,” he assured. Gakuto glanced over at the guy. “Seriously, it’s about as perfect as it can be.” Because it was him and Yuushi and dancing. What more could he want? Besides, while it wasn’t late, it wasn’t exactly early. Meant there were less people around to bug them or to stare at Yuushi.
As they walked, Yuushi enjoyed the brisk weather and the red head on his arm. He smiled a little more as they neared the club. Later, that wall would be lined with people dying to get in. But right now, the Pandora’s Box wasn’t all that full. It was perfect. He could hear the music from the street, just barely. It wasn’t remotely the music he himself played, but it had a perfect beat for some really close dancing.
“Hear that...” He intoned. “I think they know we’re coming.”
Gakuto nodded, his grin getting bigger if that were at all possible. “They have no idea what’s about to hit them though.” If it weren’t for Yuushi’s arm keeping him with the guy, Gakuto would have taken off and already gone into the club. “So, how’d you find out about this place anyway?”
Yuushi could tell that Gakuto was dying to get inside. He actually sped his normally slow steps up. He wouldn’t make Gakuto wait any longer. He paused at the door and smiled down at the redhead. “I’ve passed by here a couple times on some of my outings...so I did a little research. The Internet is an amazing thing.” He knocked a few times and the door opened.
Inside, the music was loud and pounding and the lights flashed and danced on the floor. It was a little brighter by the bar. He doubted he’d be near it. The floor was rather enticing, especially once the red head would be on it. “You know...when Pandora opened the lid...all the sins in the world flew out...and then she shut it...closing in hope...” He pointed to the center of the floor. “It’s rather romantic.”
When Yuushi had knocked and the door opened like magic, Gakuto couldn’t help but turn and gape at the guy. Okay, yeah, using the Internet to find out about a place was one thing. But it being a really cool place with a closed door you probably had to know a secret knock to use and get even? Simply amazing.
“Closing in hope?” He thought about that for a moment. “Seems kind of stupid of her. If you’re letting all the evils free, shouldn’t you at least give them hope too?” His gaze landed on the dance floor and he grinned. “Come on,” he tugged, heading towards the dark dance floor. There were actually quite a few people out on it but Gakuto didn’t care about that. If anything, the more people there were, the closer he’d get to dance to Yuushi.
“Oh....but when hope escapes, it becomes despair” He admitted softly. Okay, so it wasn’t romantic. “This way, she keeps hope safe for the world.” He followed along behind the red head and grinned a little. “But enough of mythology. I think we can make our own legend here.” Because he knew he loved the way Gakuto moved and he knew just how to move to make it look even better.
The one thing that Gakuto didn’t mind about being small was the fact that it was easy to slip through a crowd. He wanted to be in the middle of things. “Only think?” He asked, already swaying and moving to the beat of the music. “You have such poor confidence in my skills,” he added, teasing. “It hurts, Yuushi, really hurts.”
“Shall I kiss it better?” He teased back with a wink. However, with Yuushi, he might just do that if Gakuto said yes. “I wouldn’t want you to be wounded.”
Rolling his eyes, Gakuto let his arm slip away from the other’s. “If you want to do that, first you need to catch me,” he decided. Moving past a few people, he looked back to make sure Yuushi couldn’t see him. He worked his way more towards the center. If Yuushi really wanted him and was going to chase after him, the guy should easily know that was where Gakuto was making his way to.
Oh. He knew. He more than knew. The red head always had to be in the center of things. It was a common trait he had noticed about much of Hyotei. In a way, he had to too...though he was more to the left of center. Let Keigo and the rest have the limelight. He was happy lounging in the fridges.
He did chase after because it was all part of his plan. The plan for Gakuto to have fun. He just made it look like he was taking his time about it. Sexy, unrushed, always cool and with his eyes only on the redhead, despite the others in the club that might have caught his roving eyes had he not decided to give this...monogamy thing a try.
Yuushi made his way to the red head and murmured, “Look at what I found. I found my hope.” It was quite the cheesy line and he knew it, but it was also very like him to use it.
Gakuto raised an eyebrow at the sheer cheesiness of the line. He went a soft shade of red but that could have easily been caused by the heat of the dance floor. It wasn’t but no one else needed to know that. “Really?” He knew the disbelief was evident in his voice but it was directed towards the cheesy, not the meaning behind the words.
Closing his eyes, Gakuto let the beat of the music run through him. Hands and the press of bodies behind him had him moving closer to Yuushi. “Dance,” he ordered, opening his eyes and looking at the guy. “It’s why we’re here.”
“Really.” He answered back with a small chuckle in his voice. Gakuto always looked so fetching when he flushed like that. Yuushi vowed to get him to do that even more. But for right now, he supposed that he could given in to the other’s every worldly desire. Especially as that desire was to dance.
Yuushi had been forced to learn all the old boring dances that a wealthy doctor’s son might need to know. He had learned the passionate ones because it had seemed interesting to learn the tango and the samba. But this wasn’t a ballroom and those little rules went out the window. Here, you felt. Here...you just were. You were the music, the beat, the body close to you.
He moved in time with the music and with Gakuto, hands feathering light touches to keep them connected and to remind himself and the little red head that he was there.
Despite the fact that he’d spent the whole afternoon dancing, Gakuto still wasn’t sick of it. Still wasn’t tired. Well, okay, maybe a little but it was the good sort of tired where you knew you had accomplished something and were happy with the results.
“We learned a new move today,” he told Yuushi. “Wanna see?” He had no problems showing off what he knew, even less of a problem of sharing it with Yuushi.
He knew how much the little red head loved dancing. Sometimes, he wished he was one of the normal acts, just so he could have the best backup dancer in the business. But he liked bringing a little culture and suave charm to an otherwise rather narrow record label. And right now, Yuushi was planning on using that charm on Gakuto just a little more.
“A new move?” He nodded and moved back just slightly to get a good look at all the petit teen in front of him. “Do show me.”
Closing his eyes, Gakuto danced. He could feel the gazes of a couple of people watching. He knew his jaw had practically dropped when the teacher had showed it off. The woman’s torso had looked like it was made of liquid, like there were no bones. It taken all afternoon but Gakuto was fairly happy he was able to do it too. Nowhere near as good but only because he didn’t have the years of practice the instructor had.
Oh...But that was nice to look at. Gakuto really knew how to move that petit body of his. It was amazing and Yuushi could picture those gyrating hips in a far different position. It wasn’t even that hard for his brain to jump to that imaginary conclusion. However, he wasn’t like most men. He didn’t care if everyone else stared too. Gakuto was going to be going home with him.
He found the rhythm and followed, meeting that skill with his own. Yuushi wasn’t a tensai with 1000 techniques for nothing. Dancing with this sexy red head was a good use for number 714: dirty dancing.
Gakuto cracked his eyes open, glancing at Yuushi to make sure he still had the guy’s full attention. He was pleased when he found he did. He reached over, sliding an arm around Yuushi’s waist and pulling himself closer to the blunette. There were definitely eyes on them but he really didn’t care at the moment. Just being here, being with Yuushi was all he cared about. “You’ve been practicing,” Gakuto said, pleased. He’d been dancing before with Yuushi and he definitely had to say the guy had improved since the last time.
“I’ve not been coming to peek in on your lessons for nothing. I can pick up things here and there. Even if I was mostly there to stare more at you.” He teased and moved even closer. Any more and he was sure they might as well just strip and do it right there on the dance floor. “But I’m glad I made your approval.”
Gakuto grinned. “Enjoy yourself watching me?” His cheeks went a soft shade of pink though. It was one thing to dance and to have strangers and friends watching. But having Yuushi watch...that was different. A strange hand touched his back and he closed the small gap that had still existed between him and Yuushi.
Had Yuushi known an unasked for and unwanted hand had come in contact with Gakuto, it would be his duty as a gentleman...or what at least he considered a gentleman, to set it right. He might not be a fighter at all, but a lover was oft times far more dangerous than a fighter. “I always enjoy watching you.” He teased, body bumping suggestively against body. “Even if all you’re doing is homework.”
“Bo~ring,” Gakuto declared, laughing a little. “You can’t enjoy that.” Because who watched someone do homework? Granted, he’d spent way too much time just watching Yuushi sleep but that was different! Yuushi looked different when he slept...peaceful and unguarded for once. Gakuto doing homework just looked bored because that’s exactly what he was whenever he did the stuff.
He hiked an elegant eyebrow and made a humming sound, as if amused by something. “Can’t I?” He mused and leaned down to murmur in Gakuto’s ear. “You, leaning over your books. Crimson hair kissing over your ears, falling into your eyes. Pen barely touching lips I would kiss. The small rise and fall of your back with each breath. The annoyance. The boredom. The frustration on your face.” He breathed against Gakuto’s lobe. “I enjoy every moment of it.” He paused. “In fact....” He thrummed. “Perhaps we can have a study session. Have to keep our studies up.”
Gakuto went red. “Yuushi,” he whined softly. The guy had a way of making anything sound perverted. Even, apparently, studying. “You can’t really think all that.” Though the thought of Yuushi watching him while he studied...he shook his head, trying to get that out of his head. “You don’t need to study,” he reminded Yuushi. It wasn’t fair. Yuushi didn’t even have to try and he did good in school.
He kissed Gakuto’s ear before he pulled away. He knew he had made it sound that way. He meant it that way. He meant it because he liked they way that Gakuto looked when he was all flustered like that. “Oh, but I do. Anytime like you is like being trapped in a daydream that I never want to wake from.” He knew it was cheesy and that it was far too sweet and romantic, but that was why he had said it. “And so what if I don’t need it. I can still help you.” Because he knew he was blessed with a lot of intelligence. He just didn’t like to make an effort. He just got it done before it started to bore him.
“So....if you ever need my help to study.... I’ll be more than willing to play teacher for you.”
Gakuto’s mind immediately went to the gutter. “Sensei,” he tried it out, unable to keep himself from blushing a little. Still, he liked the way it rolled off his tongue. “Sensei needs to stop spouting all that corny, romantic nonsense or else this student’s going to put a gag on him.” If Yuushi wanted to use his mouth, there were other things he could do with it. He rolled his hips suggestively, grinding against his dance partner.
The smooth Osakan knew exactly where his partner would go with that comment. He smiled in a sultry manner when Gakuto tried calling him a teacher. He thought it was sort of cute. He also though it was a bit ironic as doctors were also called that, and one day, he would be forced to leave the music business and become a doctor like a proper Oshitari. He wasn’t looking forward to that and oft times put that out of his mind completely. Gakuto was a good way of doing just that. Gakuto and those teasing hips.
“mmmmm.” He hummed in thought. “You wouldn’t gag me. You like my voice.” He teased, knowing just what his deep accented tones did to others.
“Want to try me?” Gakuto asked, lifting an eyebrow as if daring Yuushi. He wouldn’t though. Yuushi’s voice, for all the corny crap it spouted, was probably his favorite thing to listen to. He ground against the Osakan again, grinning suggestively. “I might be able to forgo listening to you,” he teased.
Yuushi couldn’t help but rise to the challenge. He moved against the other even more, grinding back. Once more, his lips hovered near the red head’s ear. His voice was a seductive whisper. He knew he could say anything. But instead, he softly sung to him. A soft little song that was completely different than the pounding music in the background. A sweet love ballad.
Gakuto could hear the song loud and clear despite the pounding music all around them. He went bright red. Gripping Yuushi’s shirt, he fought the urge to hide his face in the guy’s chest. “Yuushi...” Okay, he gave in. He didn’t want people to see just how red he’d really become thanks Yuushi singing in his ear.
Without hesitation, Yuushi wrapped arms around the smaller teen. He loved being close and he adored snuggling. It was one of his ways of showing his caring. He didn’t cling like Jirou could...but he could still hug when the mood took him. Right now, the mood was ripe and the hug was far more suggestive than the usual comforting gesture. He could feel Gakuto’s breath and his face, both warm against his shirt. He moved to place a feather light kiss to the top of bright red hair. He did so care for the petit teen and he honestly didn’t care who saw it.
Gakuto looked up. He gave Yuushi a look, even as he gripped tighter on the blunette’s shirt. “Was that really necessary?” He asked. His silly Yuushi, doing all kinds of things like that. His eyes were trained on the guy but he could feel others watching them. Not like Gakuto cared as he kept dancing with and against the guy. Let them watch. If they really wanted to do that, then Gakuto would give them a show. His Yuushi and no one else’s, that message needed to be sent loud and clear to the world.
He smiled. it was a slow, lazy smile full of promise. Promise of pleasure and of long nights of ultimate bliss. It was a little secretive too, as if the sharing of it was a special thing and it was only the other teen who was ever graced with the smile. He knew it was one of those smiles that made others trust and want him. He used it without predigest or hesitation. “Must you ask that?” He thrummed. The answer was clear. He thought it was very necessary.
“Instead, you should ask if we should keep dancing or go elsewhere?” He didn’t mind either. Dancing with Gakuto was just as wonderful as anything else.
“Guess I should know the answer to that question,” Gakuto said, talking more to himself than to Yuushi. Of course the guy had to do things like that. Yuushi’s head was full of those silly romantic ideals. But then that smile...no matter how many times he saw it, Gakuto was never used to it. He had no immunity against it. He wished he did. It’d make his life easier at times because then he’d have some resistance. “And where else were you thinking about going?”
With a small effortless skill that came from ballroom dancing, Yuushi slid his hand down a little more in order to dip Gakuto backwards. He could have easily stolen a kiss and his lips grew steadily closer. Barely an inch away, he breathed softly. “Oh, I do have my ideas. I just know you’ve been wanting to get out. I know some other clubs and a nice smoky bar.” A place that was more Yuushi than this place for certain. “I’ll let you decide. You’re my date, after all.”
Gakuto flushed, Yuushi so close to him now. It’d been a bit of a surprise, to suddenly be dipped down low. Gakuto had never been trained in any of the classical dances but he was graceful enough to go with the flow. “We can go somewhere else,” he agreed. It was early and he knew this place was more him than Yuushi. They should go somewhere that fit them both. “Lead the way, Yuushi.” Because he was fine going anywhere with his blunette.
Some day, Yuushi was going to take Gakuto ballroom dancing. He was sure the smaller male would be driven crazy by how terribly dull formal parties could be. However, he was sure a rumba or a meringue or perhaps even the Argentinean Tango would cure that feeling. But he would never subject Gakuto to such a thing. Just as this wasn’t really his thing, formal ballrooms weren’t really Gakuto’s when he really thought about it for very long.
“All right then. Somewhere both of us fit.” There were few places like that. He wondered if he could get Gakuto to a nice eatery. A cozy cafe perhaps, with corner love seated tables and a delicious, non-expensive menu. Or perhaps a movie, though really, he had been too busy lately to watch trailers. He didn’t even know what was out anymore. He didn’t have a destination. He might even end up in another club, but he was going to let the breeze take him where it may.
“This way, then, Gakuto. And this club will be much sadder without it’s hope in the middle of the floor.”
Gakuto groaned at that last line. He’d figured Yuushi had forgotten about that silly little conversation they’d had a little while ago. Gakuto definitely had put it out of his mind until now. He shook his head. “There is no hope in the middle. Only you and me.” Well, maybe not anymore but Yuushi’d understand what he’d meant.
Red, like always as it seemed to be the case when Yuushi opened his mouth, Gakuto held onto the guy’s arm, letting him lead the way. The redhead wondered if the guy had somewhere in mind or not. He could easily see it going either way. It would be just like Yuushi to plan some “spontaneous” adventure, only to have every single place and the times they were there and what he was going to say all planned out. Or, the guy could think it’d be the most romantic thing in the world to just go around from place to place, no plans in mind, just letting “fate” or “destiny” or any of that superstitious nonsense lead them to where they were supposed to be. Gakuto gripped a little tighter so as not to lose the Osakan on their way out.
It was actually a little from Column A and a little from Column B. Yuushi was one who liked the romantic notions of destiny and the fickle hand of fate. However, he also liked the idea of free will. Perhaps because he himself had a destiny set out before him, to one day seize. So free will to do what he wanted when he wanted...or doing nothing at all...it was all very glorious and romantic as well. Tonight, the dance club had been planned, but the rest of the evening, he was entrusting them both to the hand of a capricious lady whom often suffered from PMS.
He slid his arm behind Gakuto and started outside. He didn’t know where he was going. He was just going to start walking and see where their footsteps led. As long as he was with Gakuto, the destination didn’t really matter. It would somehow prove to be fun
Gakuto rolled his eyes but let Yuushi’s arm stayed. At least the guy wasn’t looking anywhere else tonight. Besides, it was an obvious sign to everyone. “Let’s get something to eat,” he suggested. It’d been a long time since lunch and if they were going to be out all night, he knew he was going to need to eat something at some point so he didn’t pass out.
Somewhere to eat it was. Yuushi was going to make sure he brought Gakuto to a place that was fit for them both. He didn’t know where it was quite yet, but he was sure that it would be in the direction they were heading. And even if they didn’t find it tonight. He could keep looking on his own time until he found the place that he could bring the red head to later. For now though, he just continued walking, contented, arm around the other’s shoulders.
