Yukimura corrected his yukata one last time before nodding satisfied at his reflection. He was not that used to were traditional clothes, but if Sanada had manage a dinner at a French restaurant this was nothing to even compare it with. This time he was going to follow Sanada’s taste.

He knocked on Sanada’s door and without waiting for an answer he opened the door and walked inside. He was not in the least surprised to find that Sanada’s room looked so traditional, it was Sanada after all. “Genichiro” he called out.

He had been excited about this all week. Ever since he had invited his captain out to enjoy this with him. Even more so when he paused to think of said person in a yakuta of all things. Sanada knew he was rather old fashioned. The idea of sitting quietly under the falling cherry blossoms and sipping tea belong to retired old men. But that was fine. So what if he was an old man. He had Yukimura with him to insure he stayed young somehow. Young enough to worry if he wasn’t too over dressed for it.

He was still fiddling with his own dark gi, trying to get it to lay just to his exacting specifications. He was still adjusting everything when there was a knock and the door opened. He turned and immediately his heart stopped. “.....” Speachless. Yukimura was...he was...splendid. Better than he had imagined even. It took him a long long moment before he got his tongue working again. “S..seiichi. I’m almost ready.” He just needed to grab a small looking basket that held green tea and some traditional snacks.

Yukimura walked up to Sanada, the traditional clothes was fitting him and pressed a soft, quick kiss on his lips. “A small gift to you, Genichiro.” he whispered. He wasn't planing on holding back those impulse like he had before.

Traditionally, Sanada might have attempted to refuse any gift to him at least once. However, this was a gift he never wished to refuse. it was one he would always accept whole heartedly. Not when that small kiss made his heart leap and his lips twitch into the smallest of smiles. “Ah...” His hand went up to lightly place it upon his cheek, thumb tracing the delicate raise there. “Thank you for the kind gift.” He paused again and then leaned down to place a small kiss himself.

He pulled away and then went to the table where the small basket sat. He didn’t feel any less manly holding it. “I have everything in here.” He also had made sure to have an extra blanket, for it Yukimura got too cold. “I know the best place...” He offered his arm.

He smiled up at Sanada taking his arm, this date was going to be wonderful. This was something that would suit them both.

The small weight of his arms felt as it did every time he felt it. It was warm and it felt like it weighed nothing. Because having Yukimura on his arm was a treat, not a burden. He didn’t even try to hide the connection when they walked from his room. Though he liked to keep public displays of affection to a minimum, being the sort of person he was and all, he still liked being close. He wasn’t ashamed of having such a wonderful person arm and arm with him.

As he rode the elevator down, he mused quietly, thoughts of the sakura already on his mind. Since blossom season meant planting time was coming upon them. “Seiichi...I think I’m going to do it for you. I’m going to lay claim to a section of the roof so you can have your garden.” He would do it too. Somehow. Rikkai’s Emperor claiming a small chuck of land for the Child of God to use.

At that statement Yukimura looked at Sanada a bit surprised. He knew that it was he that had said he wanted the roof as a garden and that Sanada had told him that it probably could get arranged, but he hadn’t thought that Sanada was so serious about it. “You are the best, Genichiro.” he said softly, pressing a soft kiss to his boyfriend’s lips.

When it came to things he wanted to give to Yukimura, Sanada was always deadly serious. Though when he had first mentioned a rooftop garden, it had just been in passing. But with the dead flowers the smaller had gotten on April Fools and with spring upon them, he knew for a fact that a garden would be something enjoyable. He could go up there and meditate while Yukimura enjoyed himself. The kiss he got was just an added bonus. However, he shook his head a little and murmured. “Save that until after I do it.” He didn’t want a reward before he got what needed to be done done. He was even willing to do all the heavy lifting to get the dirt and planters and whatever else such a thing required up there.

The elevator bell sounded and the door slid open out onto the first floor. Immediately, Sanada took point position, standing just to the left and a bare step behind his captain. As such, he was free to react, should any fans or other unwanted nuisances get in the way. He was already well aware that this time around, they probably wouldn’t be able to avoid the camera crews that seemed to enjoy publicizing every little thing they did.

Yukimura stepped out from the elevator and immediately the rapid clicking of cameras could bee heard. both fans and reporters was in the lobby and even more was waiting outside. As he did every time he was around fans he smiled at them gently, slowly making his way outside of the building.

He didn’t smile and his hand strayed down to his side where a sword would normally be. He almost smiled when he heard some of the fans murmuring how they looked so much like real samurai. He didn’t mind being compared to that. He didn’t mind being a samurai, guarding his beloved lord. His kindly smiling lord.

Once outside, he remained still so close. The sun was bright and it was warm. A small flurry of pink wafted before his eyes, carried for the park close by where the cherry trees were blooming. He did smile then. The kami were showing them the way. It made him do something he didn’t do often in the presence of others. “The cherry blossoms fall. I am happy and content, Because I am with you.” He knew the haiku would look a lot better written in black ink. He might write it out later. But it was true. He was very happy because he was with the one he loved.

Yukimura turned to Sanada changing his smile from the one meant for the fans to one meant for those he cared about. “What a lovely way of saying, That you’re thinking of me.” The fans could squeal how much they wanted to, he did not care.

Sanada actually chuckled. It was a sound that not one fan had ever heard. It wasn’t something much of anyone heard. Probably Yukimura was the only one aware that he could even laugh at all. It wasn’t an unkind laugh at all. He was thinking of his captain...all the time. “Ah.” He answered after his small little laugh that had the girls swooning.

“This way, I think.” He murmured and widened his stride to get next to the other boy and put his hand in the small of Yukimura’s back. It was a gentle touch, not forcing at all. Just lightly guiding him towards the swaying pink boughs in the park.

The sound of Sanada laughing was like soft music to him. Like a symphony of violins. He loved it.

As he let Sanada guide him out from the group of fans he slowly started to hum on the melody for the song he was writing.

The small melody caught his ear. He looked down at the shorter male and raised an eyebrow. He didn’t recognize it. It sounded nice though. He listened for a long moment before he asked his question. “That’s really nice.” A small pause. “Is it new?” He didn’t really want it to be known, but Sanada had bought every CD that Yukimura had put out. He was a fan. Anything was good. It gave him an excuse to hear the other’s voice, even recorded.

He looked at Sanada giving him a Sweet smile. “Yes it is.” he replied in a voice matching his smile. “I’m still working on it.”

“Ah.” So it was a new song then. He paused and thought about it for a moment. It was just like the violin. He wanted to hear it. He wanted to hear the song when it was finished. And it reminded him that he needed to work on some songs too. He had been too busy learning the songs and the moves for the LIVE. He was also busy with the process for trying to get into that movie. Maybe...maybe he’d write a song for Yukimura..as a surprise.

“I’d like to hear it. When it’s done.” He concluded as he turned the corner and stopped just on the outskirts of the park. It was so pretty. He stopped and backed up a little, so that he could see Yukimura there, surrounded by the falling cherry petals.

“I promise, when I’m done you be the first to hear it.” Yukimura let Sanada take in the image of him and the sakura, then he disappeared into the trees.

He had waited a bit too long just looking. Just looking at the subtle beauty before him. Then like the blossoms, that beauty fleeted. Disappearing into the park and out of his sight. He shifted the basket that carried the stuff for a small picnic and then rushed to go after the other. He hadn’t ever played hide and seek as a child. The prize for playing now was already obvious to him. It was Yukimura.

He started to look for the bluenette. “Seiichi?”

Yukimura hid behind a tree watching Sanada, this was so much fun. Even if he didn’t tell it to anyone he liked to tease people. He picked up a stone trowing it in a pair of bushes.

The bushes to his left rustled and Sanada turned towards them and headed in that direction. “Seiichi?” He stopped when he didn’t find the other boy and found a small rock instead. He frowned a little. He didn’t like that he was so bad at this game. But he wasn’t one to give up. He refused to give up. He turned around and looked towards the trees. He thought he had seen a glimpse of blue hair.

When Sanada had turned his back on him he had quickly and quietly changes hiding spot. Yukimura looked out from his hiding seeing Sanada by the bushes. He might no be able to see his face but he knew that it was a frown on it.

He started towards the tree and peeked behind it. Yukimura wasn’t there. He took a slow breath and closed his eyes. Somewhere...Yukimura was close. He hoped to clear his head. He opened his eyes again and put the basket down. Now that he had free hands, he started to look around again. He wanted to find his boyfriend.

Without making a sound Yukimura moved to another tree, peeking at Sanada as he put down the basket. He was going to be nice and not move anymore. After all he didn’t wish for Sanada to be too frustrated.

He turned slowly in a circle. Use all his senses. Including the ones he had developed for kendo and for tennis. Yukimura wasn’t the enemy, but he had a fighter’s aura just the same in a way. Yukimura had fought against his disease. He was all but a deity on the tennis court. Sanada was sure he’d also be amazing at martial arts, if he made the attempt. He could almost...feel it. Or perhaps it was just his heart seeking out the heart of the one he loved so much.

Either way, Genichirou started towards a rather large cherry tree. “Seiichi...I’m going to find you.” And when he did...he swore that he was going to steal a kiss.

Yukimura was sure Sanada would find him sooner or later, now that he didn’t change hiding places, but he was not going to give his beloved boyfriend any leads on were he was hiding. Sanada had to work for his price.

He continued to head around the trees, using his heart to guide him. It seemed to work better than using his eyes. Because soon enough, he came around a tree and he saw Yukimura. Seiichi was so...he was beautiful and he smiled. He supposed he had had fun playing, but he was glad that the game was nearly at the end. “Seiichi,” He murmured as he approached. “I finally found you.”

“Yes you did.” Yukimura chuckled. “A bit slow though.” he teased, not making any attempt to run away. Sanada had found him and had earned the right to claim his price.

He supposed that was right and the chiding was worse than any tarundoru. He had been slow. He needed to work on that. He needed to work on being more entuned with Seiichi’s warrior spirit. “I’ll do better.” He swore and approached to wrap the other in his arms and use fingertips to lift his chin slightly. “I hope this makes up a little for my failure.” He then gave the other a kiss, knowing that if it was him...he wouldn’t forgive such a lapse.

When the kiss broke Yukimura had already forgiven Sanada, but that was no fun to tell. “I might consider it.” he said with a stern business face, then he started laughing at the face Sanada had. “Oh, my Genichiro. You’re perfect even when you’re not perfect.” the blunette said, wrapping his arms lovingly around Sanada.

As long as Yukimura would consider it, he was okay, he supposed. He still pulled a sour face only to be rewarded with that musical laugh he liked to hear. Seiichi thought he was perfect and that made it so much better. He relaxed instantly and indulged himself in the warm hug they were sharing, hands sliding up and down that small back in a gesture of love. “I thought the sakura kami might have stolen you away.” Because who better to tend the flowers than someone such a Yukimura. But even if such ancient tales were true, Sanada would have found a way to get Yukimura back. He was sure the other boy knew that, too. That he’d crawl through the fires of hell itself, if it was for Yukimura.

“Then I would wait for you to save me.” he said lovingly. “But if you would be to slow, I would defeat that kami myself.” Yukimura’s eyes gleaming dark for a second, then it disappeared. Replaced with the oh, so deep love he had toward the other.

He chuckled a bit and leaned to press a small kiss to the other’s forehead, not bothered at all by that dark look. Yukimura was a warrior just as much as he was. He didn’t expect for the other to just wait like some princess to be saved. It would be nice, so he could be the hero...but he liked that they could be the heroes together. “I would feel sorry for the kami if you did that.” Because he knew Yukimura would show them no mercy. “And then we’d both carve a path back here in time for tea.” And speaking of tea, his basket sat a little ways away, their snacks waiting for when they got hungry.

“If the kami abduct me it deserves no mercy.” The dark look back in his eyes. No one, no mater how powerful would get away easy with kidnapping him. “Then shall we make it in time for tea?” he asked, gesturing towards the basket.

He nodded. He nodded and let go finally. He lightly swept his fingertips over Yukimura’s cheek before turning away. “Ah.” He had chosen the tea he knew the other liked the most.

Yukimura went over to the basket, plopping down on the ground. He smiled up at Sanada patting the grass next to him. “Sit.” he ordered kindly.

With slow, practiced motion, Sanada sat on the grass that was patted. He folded his legs under him, sitting as if he was on tatami. He could sit that way for hours without his legs ever falling to sleep of getting at all uncomfortable. He was even more happy to be sitting next to Yukimura. He smiled a little and reached out to open the basket and pull everything he had brought. The dango and tea and a small gift for Yukimura agreeing to come out. He had spent some time after his very early morning training to fold a beautiful origami flower for his beloved captain. “Seiichi...” He held it out for the other boy.

Yukimura’s eyes widened and his smile grew bigger. The flower was simply beautiful. He carefully picked it up holding it close to his heart. “It is lovely Genichiro. I will treasure it.” he whispered softly.

It made him happy that the bluenette liked such simple gifts. He was not independently wealthy. At least not yet. He liked the simply things in life anyway. He might enjoy giving his lover small tokens, but in the end, they were just tokens. His proof of love was in his actions, not his words, or his gifts. They were in the way he reached over and held the smaller hand. In the way he almost smiled. In the way he seemed more human....more approachable around Yukimura. “Would you like me to pour the tea?”

He didn’t need any big gifts to understand the others love. It was those small things he loved to get. Things that showed that you cared. “Yes please.” he said softly, gentle smile on his lips. Still keeping the flower safe he put a small box in front of Sanada. “I know you don’t care for sweets, but I tried to make something you might like.” Yukimura wanted to find things they could share. Even in taste.

Genichirou carefully pulled out the small cups and the thermos. With care, he undid the cap and started to pour the tea. He stopped and looked at the small box. It was true he wasn’t very fond of sweets. It just wasn’t his thing. However, if Yukimura had made the effort, it would be rude not to try them. “I will try them.” He promised. He would try them and he would withhold his opinion of sweets until he did. “Here...” He slid the cup of tea towards the bluenette.

“Thanks.” Yukimura said for both the promise Sanada made to try something out that wasn't really his thing and for the tea. He gracefully lifted the cup taking a sip of the tea. The taste felt familiar. “Is this the tea I told you about?” He had once told Sanada about a brand of green tea he liked. He preferred black tea after all.
He nodded. “Ah. It is.” Because Genichirou had paid attention. He always listened to the things Yukimura said. He always remembered about the things he liked and the things he didn’t like. He had nowhere near the encyclopedic memory as their dataman, but when it came to Seiichi, Sanada tried to know all he could, if only so that he could continue to support him and make him happy.

He watched out of the corner of his eye and carefully reached to take one of the small sweets that his boyfriend had brought. Taking a bite, he waited and then sort of smiled. It wasn’t too bad. He actually...sort of liked it. Though maybe it was because of the company. “These...are good.” He announced quietly.

Yukimura smiled at Sanada. “I’m glad to hear that. I cut down a lot on the sugar.” he said giggling softly when he spotted a bit of cream om his boyfriend’s face. “You have cream on your face.” he stated. “Let me remove it.” And before Sanada could protest or hinder him Yukimura licked the cream of Sanada’s cheek.

He hadn’t realized he had been a little messy until Yukimura had pointed it out. He didn’t have time to get it before the tongue was washing over the spot. He automatically reached up, as if to tug down his cap to hide his embarrassment. It wasn’t there. “...ah.” He managed. “Thank you, Seiichi...”

The other boy beamed a bright smile at Sanada. “Your welcome.” his sweet voice said. Sanada was as cute as always when he showed his embarrassment like that. As if it had been a perfectly normal act he just done he lifted his cup and took another sip of the tea.

He remained a little embarassed. Eventually, he would get used to Seiichi being so close and loving to him. It was a dream come true really. Even this, sitting with him under the sakura was like a wonderful dream. Only he was awake. He looked back to the falling blossoms and allowed himself to smile fully. Finally, finally relaxed...Something that only Yukimura had really ever witnessed.

Yukimura put his head on Sanada’s shoulder, inhaling the fragrance of the sakura. He was sure that this image was beautiful and full of love. He would like to paint it so it would never disappear. Him, Sanada and the waving sakura.
