Yay, internet! Now you can finally make more dairy/RH crossover icons!

I doubt there's anyone that moved countries that had absolutely no bureaucracy hassle. I have never heard of anyone therefore they must not exist.

Is there a museum about The Sound of Music? I'm suddenly tempted to *research* Captain Von Trapp.

I think the German Bureaucracy is lucky that you didn't go to a Museum with armaments. And firearms. Stepping away from kitchen knives might not be amiss either. (Or perhaps pretend that a bureaucrat is Vaisey? And mentally stab in absentia?)Your quote above: ** It took me less time to sell my car in the US than it did to get DSL in Germany** Wow. That says it all. I'm so sorry. Beyond teeth-gnashing ( ... )

At least the worst should be over. Of course I have to go do all this over again in Austria soon, but it should go a little smoother, providing that I'm able to get my residence permit without any hitches. I already have a room reserved, and I can get Internet through the residence, and I already have a cell phone, so *fingers crossed* it won't be so bad. Plus, pretty scenery! Yay!

Thanks for the kind wishes. I think it's gonna be really fun once I get there. Germany can be really fun, too, as long as you're not trying to set up an account somewhere.

Thanks for the fic rec, too! I don't think I've read that one yet. And I'm really happy LadyKate is getting such a strong response already. She's got some amazing Xena/Ares fic, too, so it's no surprise. :D

Cool! Must check out. Sorry, but as FanFiction.net can be quirky I realized I was a smidge off in the title. It's:
"The Lady is THE Tiger." Be aware that as she's been writing this for a year, the tone and pace shift, but it works with the story (I think.) Enjoy!
