I'd like to write a bit more of it, but I'm never sure what's going to work out next, so I can't say if I will or when.

It sort of bothers me that I can't quite work out where the point of departure from the canon timeline is. The events of Goblet of Fire seem to have happened, and it must be the summer after Harry and company's Fifth Year because of Millicent's comment about deliberately failing her OWLs, but Fifth Year must have been very different to Order of the Phoenix, given that Harry and Ginny are already in a relationship and Harry isn't mourning Sirius
