Amy was hanging out in her house with her friend Rory, the two were rather close but in Amy's eyes he was nothing more than just a friend. It was finally Friday, so that meant putting off homework to the last minute and just hanging out with her friends and this weekend she might possibly go to a party but she wasn't sure yet. She didn't like a lot ( Read more... )

Rory shrugs.

"I dunno," he says, stretching. "Maybe watch some telly or something?"

He always feels nervous and shy and bumbling around Amy's aunt--probably because he knows she doesn't think much of him (the comments of "that Rory is a nice boy" stopped a few years ago), and as a consequence he tends to sit all rigid and stiff when she's near. Now that she's gone, he can relax.

And because he can almost anticipate her 'that's so boring, Rory,' he adds quickly, "What about you?"

Amy looked over at Rory from her spot on the couch as he suggested they watch something on television. "There's nothing on right now." Amy said, brows furrowing as she tried to think of something to do. Leadworth was such a dull village, she couldn't wait to get out of here. "As soon as I'm done with school, I'm out of here." Amy muttered before getting to her feet, "I'm hungry, did you want something?" She asked as she stretched her arms above her head and looked down at Rory.

Rory just manages to school his face back into vaguely bored calmness when she looks down at him. He hadn't been able to stop a flash of dismay from showing when she said she wanted to leave Leadworth; every time she says it, he has to bite back from saying but what about me?

Yeah? What about you? she'd reply.

And there's no way he can answer that question while keeping his dignity and pride intact.

"Got any crisps left?" he asks hopefully.

Amy of course was a bit oblivious to the way Rory felt about her, they were childhood friends and she just didn't see him any other way. So she didn't think about him, or anyone else when she had planned to move out. "Should have, yeah." Amy said before heading into the kitchen. "I'm the only one who eats them, Aunt Sharon is on a diet again." She explained as she rummaged through the cupboard and found an open bag of cheese and onion crisps. Tossing them in his direction, Amy then opened the fridge to find something to eat when she caught sight of an unopened bottle of vodka and pulled it out of the fridge with a smirk on her face. "Figured out what we can do today."
