Rory heard the soft buzzing of his mobile against the covers of his bed where he had dropped it only a few minutes ago. He had just gotten home from running a few errands and was now scanning his e-mail inbox. He stopped immediately when he heard the phone and jumped up faster than lighting to pick it up. There weren't many people who called him on his phone so his heart practically stopped with anticipation as she looked at the name that lit up on the mobile's screen.

He was not disappointed. He quickly flipped it open, already excited at the prospect of just hearing her voice. He was afraid it was painfully obvious to all who knew him, just how much he adored Amy. By now he was sure that all Amy wanted was for them to remain friends as they always had, but Rory couldn't help but hold on to the hope that maybe someday things would change.

"Hello, Amy."

Shit he had picked up. Eyes snapping shut tightly, she felt her cheeks flushing and she hadn't said anything yet. Oh. Right she was supposed to say something. Swallowing roughly, Amy opened her eyes and stared at her door as she finally replied. "Hey, Rory." Clearing her throat she moved to sit up on her bed. "You doing anything right now?"

"Em, yeah. Everything's fine." Amy said as casually as she could manage to. Playing with a stray thread from her duvet, she wrapped it around her finger tightly. "Want to come over? Aunt Sharon is out and I'm bored." Smooth, really Amy.
