Bored, that's what Amy was at the moment. What with the Doctor fixing something on the TARDIS and refusing to let her help, which also meant they couldn't leave the TARDIS until it was fixed and therefor she was bloody stuck in here. She had already done the water park room, and the huge roller coaster across that room and it just wasn't as fun ( Read more... )

"It's simple!" the Doctor announced to the empty room as he appeared from beneath the console with a pair of goggles over his eyes.

"Just needed to reroute the third coupling on the binary feedback circuits and loop back to the primary line on the psychic template!"

He sat up, his hair bouncing, a wide grin on his face.

A grin that started to fade when there was no raucous applause or forthcoming praise.

"Oh come on," he said, "you don't have to pretend you're not a little impr..." but then he pulled the goggles up atop his head and glanced around.

He was alone. Apparently, somewhere in the four hours he'd been under the console, Amy had found better things to do.

"Well that's just rude," he mumbled to himself.

"Pond!" he called out and jumped to his feet in one quick movement. "AMELIA POND?!"

Far from impressed at the moment, Amy couldn't help herself from kneeling down to where the doll had fallen. Which at the moment was eerily still, face down. Swallowing heavily, Amy reached out towards the doll but quickly retreated her hand when it started to get to its feet, back to her.

Okay, so maybe there had been a reason this door had been locked... Hearing the Doctor calling out to her, Amy kept her eyes on the doll as she started to back away as it started to face her. "In here!" She shouted.

Spinning once on his heel, the Doctor looked around the room and under the console, as though she might somehow be hiding behind there, or perhaps be blending in with the furniture.

She wasn't.

He stood up and turned his head slightly.

And that was when it happened. The lights in the console room flickered and dimmed.

"Amy...?" he said quietly then, concern filling his voice now.

The lights started to flicker uncontrollably in the room she was in, which made this all the more creepy. She felt like she was starring in some sort of horror movie. When the doll finally turned around enough for her to see its face, that was enough for Amy to book it out of the room screaming. "Doctor!" Amy shouted, voice cracking as she ran down the stairs to the console room.
