The lady that was suppossed to be making my cosplay alice outfit for me still hasn't replied to any of my emails, and then I got this in my mailbox...
Hello everyone.
I see that some of you haven't heard from Kiki since the auto-reply. I also ordered a costume from Kiki. My costume was supposed to be here early June. On June 2nd I received a reply from Kiki's friends Jenna and Babs. This is what they had to say:
Hello, thank you for the quick reply, and for being so understanding!
Your Haku outfit will definitely be delivered before the end of this month,
so you will have it for your event in July. It looks like most of the
outfit has been finished, just some hand sewing left, but it looks like we
need to get your sandals ordered (size 9 zoris). You don't have to send the
rest of your payment until you receive the outfit, that way you can be sure
you're not just sending money to a "ghost".
We're working at KiKi's studio at her home while she's gone, the address is:
KiKi's Cosplay, 4360 Bullock Bridge Rd., Loganville, GA 30052. The phone is
770-554-2784 (it's her home #, there's no business phone because she does
everything by email).
KiKi is going to be back home next week, and is getting very anxious to
start costuming again. She plans to be back at the machine by the end of
this month, so she will get to work on the Itachi outfit then.
We'll keep in touch till KiKi returns!

Which I believed at the time. I had e-mailed them twice after that letting them know that I was leaving for California in a little over a week and still haven't received my costume. I didn't get a reply which was starting to concern me. My mother then very frustrated called the police station over there to see if she could find anything out about them. An address or phone number something of that sort. After she did that she tried calling them about 3 times and only left 1 message. As you could understand she was frustrated at the time when she left the message. She then e-mailed them letting them know that she contacted the police station in their area and amazingly I got a reply the same day. This is what they had to say:
We understood from your email that you needed the Haku outfit before the end
of June for an event in July. It is June 23rd, and you have left 3
increasingly nasty phone messages about this, even though we have made every
effort to keep you informed. We cannot contact you all the time about a
matter that was supposedly settled already. We also cannot call you, and
have already told you that we conduct all business by email.
Do you want the Haku outfit or not? If so, it will arrive as agreed (and
stated in our previous email of June 2) before June 30. If not, you can
have your $90 deposit back, but it will be sometime in July that you receive
it.
We await your reply...

It is amazing how they look at everything from their point of view. As I said before my costume was supposed to be here early June. Not the end of June. As all of you know they do not make every effort to keep you informed about your orders. It is also not right they will give refunds back "sometime" in July. All that said to me at the time was that Kiki had already spent the money and that is why they cannot pay anyone back. They must be working trying to get the money back. After my mother replied to their e-mail amazingly I received yet another e-mail the same day. Within a half hour at that. This is what they had to say:
Hello: We have discovered that we are only able to send emails and not receive any due to a problem with Bellsouth DSL in this area for the past 3 days or so. Since we cannot communicate with you, we are informing you that you will be sent a refund for your Haku deposit. You will be receiving a refund of your $90 sometime in July, and a refund of your other deposit of $112 as soon as possible after that.

Wow. I felt like my intelligence was being insulted. How can you send an e-mail and not be able to receive them? On top of that, what would make them all of a sudden decide to give me a refund? We were curious after that so we checked to see if they were telling the truth. We called Bellsouth and asked them if their DSL was down. We came to find out that they can't even get DSL in that area she lives in. So yet again my mother replies to their e-mail and this is what they had to say:
Perhaps you have not understood that our friend KiKi is home recuperating from an illness. We see we will have to explain in detail. She attempted suicide last month, and as her friends, we have tried to help salvage her business. She does not have any long distance service on her phone. The only way for us to call you is to buy a calling card, which we are not going to do. Also, every time we try to connect to Bellsouth and download her emails, it keeps asking for the password, which we keep entering, but no email downloads. Go ahead and call up Bellsouth for that if you really want to. The bottom line is, you are out $90 plus $112, and you are acting like a psycho. We hope we are not going to have to seek a restraining order. Please leave KiKi alone, and you will receive your refund when she receives her next disability check, in July, as we stated before. If you continue to bother her, we WILL help her seek legal action against you.

She is going to keep my money and my costume but try to seek legal action against me? After all of their lies I didn't believe anything they were saying. After going through the weekend all of these things weren't adding up. I had my friend in Georgia go to her house and see he could get my costume. When he got there no one was home but he spoke to her landlord. Her landlord told him that a lot of people were upset at Kiki because she owed them all a lot of money. Including the landlord. Kiki was actually renting a room in a house that this landlord owned.
Now here's what I found interesting. The landlord told my friend that Kiki has moved back to Michigan and gave her business to her two friends. I'm guessing that those two friends are Jenna and Babs. She also mentioned that all of these girls are teenagers. She guessed around 17 years old. She said nothing about Kiki going in for surgery or attemping suicide. I'm guessing that was a lie too. I believe Kiki has taken all of our money and used it to move back to Michigan with her family. I don't believe anyone is going to get their money back or their costumes. Kiki isn't even living in Georgia anymore and obviously these two girls can't handle the business. Just so you know the landlord also said that the phone that they are giving out this phone number too isn't even in the room anymore. The two girls took the phone. The landlord also said that she gets about 14 to 17 calls a day asking for Kiki.
What Kiki did is wrong and it is also illegal. I'm sure many of you have thought about sueing. I hate having to be the one to tell you all of this but I figured you'd at least like to know what's going on. I don't know what Jenna and Babs have told you but I'm sure there are many stories floating around. I hope that some of you have time to get someone else to make your costume. There's your update you should have got from Jenna and Babs from the beginning.
