It may have been more thorough but Light wasn't ready to go through with it yet. It's not as though he were afraid; he simply didn't want to go through the risk of being strangled again--and relying on L to save him. Light offered L an indignant snort.

"Unless we showered together it would take twice as long to get things done." That's the only response that L would get in regards to this; it was the only response that Light was ready and willing to give.

Light grabbed his trusty little sponge from the little drug cabinet and reached for the faucet controls--with slight trepidation. He turned the one for the hot water there was a small drip. He turned it more. Nothing.

Light sneered and glared down at the sink. He couldn't help but feel that something was toying with him and Light wasn't the least bit amused.

L gave a quiet, frustrated sigh and glanced back to Light...to see him experiencing the same phenomenon.

"It seems we have a problem."

L was wary. It could be the plumbing (the place certainly looked rickety enough), but it could also be the work of a ghost...possibly the same one they'd had the pleasure of meeting before.

"Shall we try the kitchen?"

If the kitchen sink didn't work, they would be in a bind. They couldn't stay in this room if they had no running water.

The kitchen? If L thought that Light was going to bathe in the kitchen he was very mistaken. He was also mistaken if he thought that Light would share his precious little sponge. L could just go tear his own out of one of the couch cushions.

But it's not as though Light had a choice and, after all, Light did want to know why the water had stopped--It had better not been due to a ghost. Without a word Light started off towards the kitchen--he'd probably drag L behind him due to the handcuffs they wore.

Once they arrived Light would waste no time in turning the faucet.

Only a drop or a dribble greeted Light, nothing more.

L continued to watch the water trickle weakly, in thought.

"We're not going to be able to live here if this isn't fixed."

He really didn't want to say it... They'd very rarely ventured from their room, especially after they'd confirmed the rumor of its dangers. It was risky. Their room had tape now... But...

"I would assume the plumbing source must be in the basement--possibly the first floor..." depending on whether this place even had a basement. They'd never explored that extensively; there was little way of knowing.
