It's pretty easy to tell I can't think of what to call this post. |'D In any case, just a post about how things are going in general. Will try to make it as short as possible.

University is mostly going fine. I took Japanese, Society and Culture, Gender and International Relations, and PE (compulsory, |'D) last term. Society and Culture and Gender and International Relations were both pretty interesting, although sometimes I found the latter a bit difficult to understand. This term I'm taking Japanese and PE again, as well as History of Modern Japan and Principles of Sociology. I did have a bit of a problem with getting essays in on time last term, so I'll be trying to remedy that this time around.

I finally got around to watching the first two episodes of the BBC Sherlock series. Very fun, I thought. |D I mainly go by the canon works and the Granada TV series, but I certainly like it as an adaption, like the 2009 movie. I think they managed to translate the original stories into the premise well, and it stands nicely on its own, too. So, certainly recommended if you're interested in Holmes and want to see a well-done modern day adaption of it, or just if you're looking for a live-action TV series to watch. My brother bought me the first season box for my birthday, so hopefully I'll get around to watching the third episode sometime.

Recently picked up a new DS game- 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors- which I'd also recommend if anyone's looking for something to play for the DS. I don't think it's been out too long in English, although it seems to have been released last year in Japan. It's an adventure game that's part visual novel, part puzzle, and you play as one of the characters both trying to escape from a deadly game they've been roped into and figure out what's going on.

I liked the plot and the characters, and the puzzles weren't too difficult (barring the Maths-based ones- I'm about as bad at that as ever. Even magic squares). Some parts vaguely reminded me of Higurashi (one of the endings in particular- apart from that, the descriptions of bodies are pretty gory, and there's a fair amount of mind screwiness to the plot), but that's probably just a very loose surface comparison, as much as the game can get pretty dark at times. I thought it was very good, in any case.

Apart from that, I haven't really been doing a lot. In the anime department, I've mainly been watching Arakawa Under The Bridge x Bridge and following writeups of some of this season's anime. I'm still mostly reading Discworld/Terry Pratchett in general. That's probably more or less it.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. |D And, Happy Birthday to speadee (December 5th) and nostalgicfishes (December 13th). Hope that you have/had a good day.
