Do you not like the books, or just Lord of the Rings in general? Because I thought the books were a long exhaustive saga of nothing much really happening at all.

I quite liked the movies, actually. But I am in no way obsessed with them, and I wouldn't want to see any of them again in a hurry. No, I really just dislike the books, as you say.
