Happiness

An intangible thing really, but even if you are not feeling exactly happy, the abscence of melancholy in itself can be construed as hapiness, therefore, I am happy. Wow. It is amazing to feel not hopeless and rundown. My doctor has put me on Celixa (or something like that) and the pills are making me feel pretty good. Maybe it is just a ( Read more... )

Running into you totally made my day!

And you like the hair? Really? I am in that awkward growing it out point, where I feel like I look like a lesbian cop from the 1980s. *shudder*

Good luck getting in. Teaching is so worth it, and you'll be better than others we know.

Thanks Andrew! I have my fingers crossed that I get in. This is the only thing I have wanted to do with my life for the last 10 or so years, so I am really excited that things look to be within reach.

Congrats to you for making it through!

That's good that the pills are helping. Anti-depressants and anti-anxiety pills frighten me. :\

G'luck getting in. You would make an awesome teacher. When I think of you as a teacher, I'm reminded of my English 11 teacher, and she was awesome.

Hehehe... Thnaks for the vote of confindence!

Anti-depressants aren't all bad. You just need to find the ones that work for you. That process can often be stressful, but it is worth it once you find what works. Or so friends have told me. I have been lucky and the first one we tried seems to be working.

Yup.. much like the nasty trip to finding the right birth control pill (took me 8 different pills, but i found one that works!) I'm just scared because I was prescribed effexor not long ago, and I only found out after (when i told my aunt the doctor what happened) that it's a big no no for people who also have anxiety issues. I took the first pill in the morning, and by the time i had to drive home from work I felt like I was speed. That progressed to a 5 hour panic attack, visual/audio hallucinations, and some other issue which made me unable to straighten my body, so i lay in bed convulsing and crying for 4 hours. I'm sure you can see why I'm a bit scared of them.. hah

Totally! But if it is something that you think will help you, I totally encourage you to explore all your options. And know that I will be available to rescue you or hold your hand if you need it!
