That's interesting - it had never even occured to me to find TVs insulting. I can see how stage-show drag queens could be considered a caricature, but I wouldn't have thought of the majority of TVs in the same bracket as them anyway. Perhaps it's because I'm used to the idea that it can sometimes be nice to feel femminine and I've had a few conversations with men who seem to feel the same for exactly the same reasons. I don't even really have a problem with men trying to look like women - perhaps because I happen to find women look attractive.
I used to know a woman who wore a suit and tie - just out of curiosity would that worry you too? And would you tend to think of it as insulting men?
NO...quite OK with women who wear traditionally male clothes. I'm also ok with TVs, who perhaps dress to feel feminine and sometimes as a fetishistic thing. What I've not been comfortable with is drag queens - the stage show acts. They often seem to portray mysoginistic views and caricature women in a hostile way. Perhaps it's something to do with pretending to e someone you're not? I tend to find over-madeup women difficult as well. Why hide behind a mask?
